what's the next chapter in a everyones life? I'm a senior in highschool and lately I've been thinking that I really didn't fulfil the highschool career that I thought I was going to in 8th grade. I've started the process of applying to schools and what not, and hopfuly college is what I'm cracking it up to be. So have all of you done the things you've wanted to or still want too? I feel like there's these sudden wake up calls in life that just show you how short life really is and you really just need to let loose and enjoy it.

I'm actually completely freaked out about the future. I'm working on my early decision application to Boston University, and I'm terrified I'm not going to get in. Right now I'm just looking towards tomorrow, when I'm dropping AP Calc. I already have enough math credits, as well as 2 other AP classes this year, but I can't help but thinking I'm not trying hard enough and that colleges are going to think I'm being lazy (like, "why does she only have 4 math credits when she could have 5?")

On the other hand, Thursday's looking good too. Anyone up for more new It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?

i'm dearly hoping that i get the job i am interviewing for tomorrow morning. Seriously, I can't take any more close calls with almost getting a great job then being passed up at the last minute for someone else. i'm excited for the possibility of stability in my life financially once again because I know it's coming, hopefully sooner than later.

^Hey, i'm applying there.

I wish I worked as hard the last three years as I am now. I brought my GPA up from a 2.1 to a 4.2 (6.0) wich was a mahor plus. I'm trying to get into University of Texas so i'm busting my ass right now. I really excited about going to college, but it's scary because it's a huge step in my life.

Short term:

Graduation! (the year is going by fast)
Spending a month in France with my friends!
Going to UT!

I'm a senior in college, and I'm in the process of trying to figure out what to do after college (either going to grad school immediately or working for a couple of years). The problem is, I don't know what kind of job I want, and I'm torn between two different subjects I would want to pursue in grad school.
There are certainly a lot of things in life I have yet to experience that I feel like most people my age have (i.e., traveling to certain places, entering my first relationship, seeing bands in concert that I have always wanted to see but never got around to doing, etc.), which is frustrating, but I know that I just have to take life as it comes. It's a pretty big school year in the sense that I'm graduating in May, my brother is graduating from graduate school, and my sister is getting married in June (first wedding in my immediate family, so it's pretty crazy). In spite of all the uncertainty, I'm just looking forward to a change of environment.

yes, yes we do. I'm curious as to what spawned this question seeing that this thread has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

where I've already been outside of the US: England, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Scotland, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, The Caribbean (most of my European travels were when I was younger and I lived in London with my family, and before anyone asks, no I wasn't a military brat, my family was just kinda sick of living the US and wanted to get away for a while.)

Inside the US, I've been to nearly every state minus a few random ones (i.e., Montana, Nebraska, etc.).

In the not-so-distant future, my top destinations are: to go back to England and The Netherlands, India, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, and Alaska

Three cheers to being a Senior.

I'm excited, I finally found a perfect college for myself, and that a few of my friends are looking at going to next year. So woo for that. And I'm excited to get out of my pot-hole town.

In the near future, I'm excited to do my egg drop Friday off the football stadium.

I think I'll go to the movies with said friends this weekend.

Yay life!

That's awesome; I LOVE traveling. I've been to the countries I bolded, plus Luxembourg, Italy, and Germany. U.S. wise, I haven't been any farther west than Chicago, although my goal is to eventually visit all 50 states. I'd love to go back to Europe to visit Sweden, Poland (my family's from there), Russia, Spain, Iceland, and so forth, and also Australia/NZ. I also might go to Africa next summer (not sure where).

I'm excited for my birthday next week. 19's not that important but every year older matters to me and it sounds a hell of a lot better than 18 in my opinion.

I'm excited to go to disneyland with my friends next month.

I'm excited for all the shows I'm going to in october and november and all the albums coming out that I can't wait for.

I'm excited to hopefully transfer and get the heck out of here next year.

and I'm excited for this election to be over and to hopefully not see Sarah Palin's stupid face everywhere anymore.

Just an update: I found out today that I got the job I was hoping to get and I am so unbelievably excited and thrilled. It's a fantastic position in a great company (in the mortgage industry!!! the industry I have a billion years experience in), and I'll be traveling all over the country - possibly meeting some of you fine people when I have nothing to do at night after I get off work.

Life is really turning out to be good right now (both professionally and personally) and I deserve it, it's been really shitty for way too long.

college is whatever you make it to be.
you can hide out in your room and not make any friends, or you can go out every night, if you want to.
i haven't done everything in life that i want to yet, but how depressing would that be, if there was nothing to look forward to?

im looking forward to going back to school. i got suspended for a year bc of my grades and cant wait till fall semester 09

i realize i hate where i work, i need a new job, and refuse to work in the oil buisness anymore. i decided i want to change my major from communications to education. i decided i want to be a teacher in something like art or some shit. i wouldnt also mind maybe doing some mission work elsewhere outside the country. not mission as in religious, but like helping people in need in like asia/africa etc. i cant wait to get into the recording studio with my friend because its something ive always wanted to do, i have the talent, but never had the connection and now i do. his bro is a monster in the studio.

mainly i just want to live life doing what i feel im best at and makes me happiest
