I don't know if this thread has been started before or not, but I was looking for suggestions about Podcasts. I been listening to podcasts for a while, but recently got into them more, because I listen to them while I'm at work. The ones i've already checked out are SModcast (kevin smith and scott mossiers), Geekscape (nerd news, movies, video games, and comics), iFanboy (comics), Official Lost podcast, and a couple others. I recently downloaded a couple episodes of the Ricky Gervais podcast because I've heard good things, but haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. Anybody have any other suggestions?

I think Kara created an "Official Podcast" thread. There might be a few good suggestions in there.

That's a good suggestion. I've been looking for a music one. I've kind of got all the other bases covered.

Thanks I'll take a look for that.

Also I finally started listening to the Ricky Gervais One and it is pretty great. While I was looking for more stuff for it, I found one I believe for Russel Brand. Anyone know if it's worth checking out?

A lot of Lost Podcast Listeners. The official one is great, but I didn't really care for any of the other ones.

I found the old podcast thread, a little info, but not much. Nothing I really wanted to check out.

I really love the Lost one, does anyone know of any other TV show ones that are good?

Uhh Yeah Dude is my favorite. I listen to it every week. My roommate's a huge fan of Five Tacos and a Taco. That's a pretty hilarious one too.

SModcast is awesome. I can't remember who I was talking to about it in another thread, but the one a few months ago where they were talking in Canadian accents had my dying.

I don't remember that part, but it could have been. All I remember is Kevin and Scott just riffing on canadians for like 5 minutes. "this is hockey, eh..."

Smodcast is pretty great. I've listened to all of those. The one where Malcom Ingram doesn't know who the PM is, was hilarious. The one that had me crying was the make a wish one. Where Kevin hypothesizes that the Make a Wish people would lock scott in a room and make him watch a kid masturbate was so amazing. I was sitting eating lunch and laughing so loud everyone in the restaurant was looking at me. That and the Clone one.

Just started listening to the Ricky Gervais one. I've already listened to the first season. Pretty damn entertaining. I love in when the read from Karl's Diary. I'll have to check out that link you posted.

Also could everyone briefly post what each podcast is about. Some of these names don't say anything about the podcast.

The Make a Wish one was funny, I love how the act everything out.
Sometimes I listen to them when I walk to the store or wherever, so I look crazy because I'm just laughing out oud

Did someone mention "Hi My Name Is Mark" regardless if you like Blink or +44, they don't play any of it. Mark's an incredibly funny guy and plays shit like The Format and Alkaline trio. Pretty nice stuff.

That's a great recommendation. I remember hearing about that before. I will definitely be checking that out. I really wanted a music one. That's probably going to be the next one I check out.

Does anyone know of any just straight like comedy podcasts that are good? Like comedy troops or something like that, that do sketches? I know they have that sort of thing, but does anyone know of any that are particularly good.

If you like video games, I've been loving the IGN podcasts for about a year now. Specifically Game Scoop. Those guys are really funny and easy to listen to. A lot better that the stereo typical video game nerds on 1up who literally just try to 1up each other and inflate their own egos on each show.

IGN podcasts ftw.

I miss Hi My Name is Mark so bad. He used to do a new one every couple of weeks, but I don't think he's done one in maybe 6 months.

I love the 1UP ones. 1UP Yours is one of my favorite podcasts because the guys talk about the philosophies of games and the industry as a whole, instead of just news and reviews and whatnot. The fact that it's like 2 hours long is awesome too.
