Last year I started dating this half mexican boy from Long Beach. I am from Texas, so the cute beach bum boy had me completely smitten. Initially. As we were spending our time together, I decided I wanted to do something nice for him. I baked him a cranberry apple crumb pie from scratch. I took it to him and when I looked in the refrigerator a few days later, it was still in there, untouched. Little did I know he wanted it served to him. That should have been my first clue. Him and I dated off and on for about a year until things got really serious. I was not allowed to talk to anyone of the opposite sex nor allowed to even associate with male coworkers. I am a very social person. I love people. I always have, so that was really difficult for me. Him and I had broken up and I was at my apartment with a friend of mine (a dude) and this "ex" broke into my house, told the friend to leave (bitch), and once he left... the "ex" got really angry and really violent. He went to jail that night. We had court and a restraining order was put in place. =/ Then some other incidents occured that added to his horrible record. That was quite a few months ago.

Current problem: I miss him. I really do. I keep thinking about how him and I had so much fun together. We spent this past weekend together, and it was the best weekend I have had in the state of California. Now I am in a situation where, if I tell my parents, especially my papa... they will flip a lid. It's like a burned bridge that I am trying to rebuild... any suggestions?

Last year I started dating this half mexican boy from Long Beach. I am from Texas, so the cute beach bum boy had me completely smitten. Initially. As we were spending our time together, I decided I wanted to do something nice for him. I baked him a cranberry apple crumb pie from scratch. I took it to him and when I looked in the refrigerator a few days later, it was still in there, untouched. Little did I know he wanted it served to him. That should have been my first clue. Him and I dated off and on for about a year until things got really serious. I was not allowed to talk to anyone of the opposite sex nor allowed to even associate with male coworkers. I am a very social person. I love people. I always have, so that was really difficult for me. Him and I had broken up and I was at my apartment with a friend of mine (a dude) and this "ex" broke into my house, told the friend to leave (bitch), and once he left... the "ex" got really angry and really violent. He went to jail that night. We had court and a restraining order was put in place. =/ Then some other incidents occured that added to his horrible record. That was quite a few months ago.

Current problem: I miss him. I really do. I keep thinking about how him and I had so much fun together. We spent this past weekend together, and it was the best weekend I have had in the state of California. Now I am in a situation where, if I tell my parents, especially my papa... they will flip a lid. It's like a burned bridge that I am trying to rebuild... any suggestions?

Well let's see, I joined the military at 17. That was five years ago. Do you know how long it takes to obtain a bachelor's degree? 4 years. With the education I received from the military, and a few after hours classes and CLEPS, I have my CCAF degree which is an associates. =]

I was definitely doing real work. I was running The Joint Commission for the hospital at 19. I also saw thousands of PTSD patients and their families. Mental health is not a joke and it is REAL work. You are hysterical when you say things like "taxpayer's dollars". In case you weren't aware, I have been paying taxes myself since I was 16 years old. Thanks to the military, I don't have to pay for it myself and my parents can use the money they saved for my education to build a new house that was destroyed by multiple hurricanes. Thanks to the military, I will have a disability paycheck for the rest of my life. Thanks to the military, and me being a "disabled" vet, my children can go to any California University they choose, absolutely free.
