Anberlin (www.purevolume.com/anberlin)-Never Take Friendship Personal- On February 1st, take out whatever you have in your discman and gently smash it with a hard object, then gently place this disc in there. Smile.

Westcott (www.purevolume.com/westcott)- Some labels are eyeing these guys down. Expect something big from them very soon, they're definetly going places.

The Suicide Pact (www.purevolume.com/thesuicidepact)- Their new song is magnificant, check it out at the link provided

The Classic Crime (www.purevolume.com/theclassiccrime)- Seattle band who rules. Check em. "Blisters And Coffee"

Da Fat Gay Retardeds (www.purevolume.com/dafatgayretardeds)- Simply hysterical.

--------------Jeremy Crawford's Recommendations

Hit The Lights (www.purevolume.com/hitthelights)- They just signed with Silent Movie Records and will be releasing their label debut "Until We Get Caught" on Feb. 22. Love these guys now.

The Skyriter (www.purevolume.com/theskyriter)- Go listen to their song "Your Smile Is" on Purevolume. Next best thing out of Illinois

Malayne (www.purevolume.com/malayne)- Scott Nunn's (ex-guitarist of Underoath, touring guitarist for Further Seems Forever) new band that keeps Florida's history of brilliant musicians going.

Ettison Clio (www.purevolume.com/ettisonclio)- Recently releasing their Full Length titled "This Is For The Blue Collars" produced by Jeremy Dubois (New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional), this band out of Michigan will be turning some heads in 2005.

JC's Honorable mentions: Royden, The December Drive, Before I Go, Gatsbys American Dream, Anathallo, Only In Movies, Novice, The Turnout, Ugly Casanova, The Olympic Year, Emanuel, Say From Charms (wishing they were still around), Lovedrug, Limbeck, The Audition and Digital Underground

frank,

great idea on combining all the recommendation posts. it really was a terrible mess, before.

also, now that you all have the rss feed going, i really like that i don't have to decipher emo lyrics in the titles to figure out what the post is about. the informational titles are so much more professional.

big up's to all y'all on both counts.

best,
jlw.

Ah, Ettison Clio! Those Michiganders need to tour in Florida. (Preferably with Before I Go and Just Ask...I have friends in Michigan that got me into them)

The end.

Everyone needs to listen to the Life Aquatic soundtrack. Seu Jorge's performance of the Bowie songs is impeccable.

ok so i love reading recs on sundays, yet frank your recs might not be bad bands, yet how i judge to check out a band is based on what the reviewer says..when you just say something like great band...i love them...its gets me nowhere and gives me no reason to want to check them out. im not saying that you need to listen to me and check how you do your thing, but a little more info about the band and less of how much you like them i think would be helpful...of course you would like them if you are recommending them...that is the obvious, tell us the not so obvious to want to intrigue me to want to check them out...just a suggestion though...thanks have a great sunday

Yeah, I just don't have time sometimes to do that. I was actually not even going to write any descriptions after each band at all this week.
