so ive been listening to a lot of underground british punk/hardcore. the guitarist in my band showed me a couple of bands that our mutual friend who goes to harvard has all these hardcore british scene kids all around him everyday ranting about.

biffy clyro- a band that is very awesome. they change styles tons of times, even throughout the course of one song. they have a feel like the following bands: coheed (in terms of guitar work) blur, and a little bit of old modest mouse with some tasteful screaming thrown in for good measure.

the murder of rosa luxemberg- england's answer to dillinger escape plan. imagine a math-metal-hardcore avant-guarde concept album about life. this band is absolutley outstanding. and they blow me away consistently. check them out.

biffy clyro is nice. I mean, at least to me, they're not too extreme. Of course, having a bit of a headache right now, I'm definitely in the mood for something that's not too much of rattling my cage with the screams. Good tip.
