soulseek is the best in my opinion. I use that, + mirc + bittorrent + dc++ sometimes... only because my friends have created this hub thingy and we chat there.

i use limewire. i havent tried anything else for 2 reasons

1.) lime wire works awesome for me, it always has what i'm looking for. but i don't search a lot... either way its only about 1/100 searches i dont find it.

2.) i use a mac so i dont know what other GOOD options i have. i dont think i can get soul seek or mirc on mac.. who knows.


and aim fileshare is nice but not many people actually share. purevolume? haha

on aim you have "my shared files" where you can put anything you have on your computer in there and people can download it from you. and vice versa. its a good way to get music/cds from your buddies.

BearShare is Great , I like the fact that you could do more then 1 search at a time.
