I haven't been listening to all too much new stuff this week, but here's what's been on repeat on my computer:

The Police- with all the talk about the tribute album I decided to break out all the old Police albums to refresh my mind before I listened to the covers. Enough can't be said about how great they are and how much influence they have on music today. For anyone whose never listened to them before I would start out with Outlandos d'Amour (my personal favorite) or Every Breath You Take: The Classics for a crash course on thier releases.

Tegan and Sara (http://www.teganandsara.com/index.php)- So Jealous -quiet indie rock from these identical twins from Canada. The lyrics are so honestly raw and they just keep popping up in my mind.

Onelinedrawing (http://www.purevolume.com/onelinedrawing)- The Volunteers -I guess I've just been into more low-key music this week. This album comes back onto my playlist every few weeks and I'm always pleasantly surprised. Just some great pop rock that is perfect to chill out to.

the volunteers is a great album, there's some really good songwriting (superhero, we had a deal) and i can't help singing along with a song with the line "boys keep fucking up my car"

"As Much To Myself As To You" is such an amazing song in my opinion. What I love most about Jonah's music is that it's beautiful in it's simplicity. Especially with the Onelinedrawing stuff, there was no fancy producer, no big studio, nothing special, that's just Jonah with a mac in his living room. I thought it was a great album that didn't get a lot of recognition.

These are some pretty lame reccomendations this week, such a piss poor job fallas.

here are my reccomendations for the week, they're all over the place, but that's why i'm cool

The Bravery - for fans of Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes or Interpol

The Sound of Animals Fighting - I guess it was overhyped, but it's still damn good, although the interludes do suck penis

3 Inches of Blood - sooooo good, crazy ass metal in the vein of Priest and Maiden. Check out track 6 of their new album "Advance and Vanquish" called Lord Of The Storm it will make your bottom burbble.

Children of Bodom - Thier new Ep Trashed, Lost, and Strung Out is wicked, but what else would you expect from Bodom. There's a cover of Andrew W.K.'s She Is Beautiful on it which is worth it all by itself.

The Starting Line - The 2 new songs, Surprise Surprise, and Bedroom Talk are outstanding, can't wait for the full length.

Between Home and Serenity - Kinda sounds like a watered down not as talented version of Thrice, but they still hold their own, check em out

The Apex Theory - Does anyone remeber these guys? They had an album called Topsy Turvey, back in 2002 and it was damn good, the stand out song on it was called Shhh...(Hope Diggy), well they put out a new Ep themselves, and the lead singer left, but the new guy isn't too bad, and the band is sick as always.

Saosin - They don't have Anthony Green anymore, they're still pretty good, but wow, not nearly as good as they were, the songs are far too happy

Mute Math - I think someone on AP.net reccomended thest guys, but they're good, it's jsut damn good stuff to chill out too

I was wondering whatever happened to these guys. I wasn't really a fan of "Shh(Hope Diggy)" but I loved "Apossibly" and the rest of the album wasnt bad. They put on a decent live show as well when I saw them open for Alien Ant Farm. So I take it the dude in the Kimono (the lead singer) is no longer with the band? How different do they sound?

The music itself is still damn awesome, it still has that middle eastern feel to it, and it's still techinically genius, but you can tell the lead singer is different, don' know if he's as good as the old one, but it's still a damn good Ep, and it's called "intheskysomethingwatching"
