iPod question...

I need to clean out my computer. And I figured that it'd be okay since I have my iPod. But if I clear out my itunes and then re-set it up will it delete all my songs off my iPod or will it be okay because I'm setting it up with my ID number on the back of my iPod? Does this make sense? Bahh.

If you delete songs from itunes and then connect your ipod again you will lose them from your ipod. Unless you set it to 'manually update songs'. Then it won't automatically update. Hope that's what you meant!

I have it manually set up. But what I'm saying is I have to clear my computer out. Like delete everything and then reinstall the things I need. And if I do that, will all my songs delete from my iPod?

they shouldn't. but just to be safe, before you install itunes, install ipod agent (http://www.ipodsoft.com/softwaredetail.aspx?sid=1) , and you can copy songs off your ipod onto your computer.

plus, ipod agent is awesome. it can download the weather and horoscopes and sync them on your ipod.
