I'm excited to see how I am the Avalanche and The Early November's albums are. It seems like Ace Enders is pumping out a lot of songs in a short amount of time. After looking at all of the releases, I really feel Drive-Thru isn't too bad. I don't think it will ever reach the status it had a few years back, but it's roster (except An Angle, IMHO) isn't horrendous.

The Early November releasing records once every year and a half=fantastic. Finch...take note fuckers.
also, they better get that Hellogoodbye CD out before Summer starts. if i'm not playing that everywhere I go for the entire summer, i will be disappointed.

the Movielife > Nighmare of You & I am the Avalanche
Are you saying that The Movielife > I Am The Avalanche + Nightmare of You, or The Movielife > I Am The Avalance and The Movielife > Nightmare of You.
Because I'm pretty sure Nightmare of You + I Am The Avalanche > The Movielife, due to the fact that 8 > 5. But if we're talking talent, then you are correct.

I also thought the Halifax EP was supposed to be released the 11th not 2 weeks later why do releases always get pushed back. They wonder why we suck up the demo's and the downloads because we dont want to hear it anymore when it finally is released.

You messaged me saying.."You didn't post abuot the Pv.com/DTR compilation", and my answer is: I post what the label tells me to post, it is not my fault if this was not included in their "release schedule". I do not create the news, nor do I assume anything. If they included that in their update, then I would've included it on this webpage.

LOL no unfortunately socratic and adelphi have fallen off the face of this earth and only leave us with those 2 damn songs. I was able to hear some new adelphi tracks over the weekend though and they sounded really good. In my opinion Socratic blows, i thought they would be good, but after seeing them live it seems that dtr signed them after only hearing funeral masses so they wrote like 9 more songs that sound exactly like that song.

I'm really anxious to hear more from Adelphi too. I know someone that saw them quite awhile ago and told me they were really good so I really want to hear some more stuff.
Duane (from Socratic) told me the new song they recorded they haven't played live yet, but nobody seems to know when it would be put up.
Although, I think DTR signed them based on their old stuff and then made them record Funeral Masses so they could hear their new stuff...because Socratic's old stuff is from when they were all in highschool with a different bassist and no keyboards and it's VERY different. I really like the way Vinny (the keyboardist) sings, he sounds way different from Duane and Kevin, I hope he sings on the new song. I liked the new stuff I heard live but they're also kind of friends so I'm a little biased.

They def have potential, I personally thought they sounded like they were trying to rip off piebald in a bad way when i saw them. Or maybe they just had a bad day.. I dunno, ill def give them a second chance. I Believe the new song you speak of wont be out for a while because the song they just recorded is for the new Welcome to the Family vol 2 thats coming out. Maybe well get lucky and they will put it on purevolume, but i doubt it. Drive thru is so tight right now with their new releases i dont think any of it will get out.

"The songs should surface sometime in Jan." from their website in late December...so I think they are putting it on PV. I guess I could ask Duane next time I talk to him, although he seems to be in a state of eternal confusion so I don't know how much help he'd be. I asked him about the tour today and he said "ummm honestly I don't know anything about the tour" hahahaha.
I honestly haven't heard too much Piebald (I know, I know, you can start subtracting my scene points now) so I definitely didn't notice that, haha.

Or the best signing in years.
If Drive-Thru doesn't have RxB or Jenoah...my god, if it wasn't for Steel Train (who bite likewise jam bands a little hard anyway), DT would actually become the first label to be void of all originality whatsoever. This is quite an accomplishment.

so, let the betting begin. i say starting line will come out fall at the earliest, and finch's new record will see the light of day by the time ruben from american idol goes on the subway diet. steel train will be good, but its been done for a while. why are we waiting so long for it? and self against city only coming out with an ep this year, and all the other rushmore bands coming out with a full length...that is a little dissappointing i must say. overall i think richard and stephanie are going to have one hell of a successful year if all goes to plan for them.

I'm not sure. When they were on idobi radio a few weeks ago they said they would go with any label that would take them, because after the guitarist left all their new songs took a very different turn (they're not allowed to play the old stuff anymore) and DTR didn't like their new stuff and kept trying to change them.

Seriously....can you imagine a scenario where someone would actually fall off the face of the earth? That would be big news. And I mean literally... just fall off the earth into space.
They actually did. They took crazy drugs that sent them spinning through space. I think they orbited Jupiter for a while, just admiring the view. After that they learned how to manipulate atoms. They swayed to and fro between Mercury and Venus, finally landing safely... however they didn't spend much time on Venus, it's a far too barren topic to use for inspiration, so I don't think we'll hear much about that planet. They started a new fashion statement while they were there though, however I don't think it will catch on until 2015 when we get sattelite images of them sporting the goods while playing hopscotch in a nasty looking crater on the surface. I'm pretty sure they convinced Pluto to "Peace Out" because it gets little to no love from anyone. Meanwhile, the Moon has decided to pack it's bags and leave us, so they say. They say that they had a lovely dinner with Him, filled with white wine and stupid jokes, and that he's bascially just a bit too old for doing what he does. Plus, he's seen a lot of shit go down. I think they asked him what the dinosaurs were really like, and how long Humans had been officially ruining the planet. He had no comment. And the Sun told them that she plans on burning out quicker than we expect, she really likes the element of Human emotion that we know as "Surprise". Yeah, thats right. The Sun is a girl.
