just a lot of stuff ive been liking lately. maybe you will follow suit. note: im not going to give a bunch of genres for these bands. no, im not too cool, i just feel that genres dont say enough about the music one classfies into a certain genre.
like lions (www.myspace.com/likelions) - this band is great. anthony green lends a tiny amount of vocals on two tracks. most people will think that i recommended them for this reason, but youre a retard. their better songs are without him. this band is great. they may be playing shows with circa survive, though.
estrela (http://www.purevolume.com/estrela) - they no longer have the guy that sounds like a girl. he was replaced with a girl. for most of you, this is a turn off, but trust me, this band wears her well. think of rachel from zolof the rock and roll destroyer singing for coheed with some mystical keyboards gracing the background.
wester (http://www.purevolume.com/wester) - this is some fact paced rock music, done well. sounds a lot like park, with a singer that reminds me of the dude from nfg with the range of anthony green (i think its apparent that anthony green is my favorite singer). quoted from their purevolume page: "If you like cool pop tunes with some cool guitars and high vocals then we're the band for you."
across five aprils (http://www.purevolume.com/acrossfiveaprils) - these guys remind me a lot of newer underoath, but with more singing since across five aprils toned down their brutality slightly. they are still fresh, and the two breakdowns on "saving seats" are so sweet, it is ridiculous. the guitars definitely speak of underoath for sure. you should see for yourself, though.
thats all i can think of. im bored.
