I love mine but hate how they provide an outlet for girls who's brain functions less than someone who recently underwent a lobotomy.

Here's a livejournal game everyone can play (taken from my Livejournal).

You start with 10 points. If you have ever read someone else's Livejournal to try and pathetically find out about their lives or juicy secrets, deduct 2 points. Come on, that's why you're reading this now. Subtract 2, you ass.

If you have ever IMed someone with something like "Hey, I read your livejournal and man, you are like so smart and deep and I totally relate to you somehow and also you're kind of hot and I cranked one out to your photo and then stole your screen name from your profile that I've been memorizing for the last 2 years", deduct 3 points. Seriously, that's just sad. Shame on you.

If you have ever used information in someone's livejournal against them, deduct 2 points. An example would be something like: "Oh, Marc's livejournal said he slept with Brittany last night, so I called Jesse and told her to call Brittany and ask her 'so how's Marc?' and then act really weird around her for like 2 weeks and drop inconspicuous clues around her like 'Hmmmm I wonder what sex with Marc would be like?'" You know you've done this. I'm convinced someone knew when my birthday was only by reading my very first entry in here.

If you just checked my first entry to find out when my birthday was, deduct 6 points. Also, un-invite yourself to my birthday party (which sucks for you, because I'm going to Chucky Cheese).

If you have ever used the words "I hope _______ is reading this" in a journal entry, deduct 1 point. If you tried to subtly bring said entry to this person's attention by saying things such as "Did you know I have a livejournal? I wrote about you in it!" or "Don't check my livejournal! Giggle!", deduct 8 points. What are you, 14?!

If you just thought to yourself, "hey, the only way Marc knows this stuff happens is if he's done it himself!", deduct 3 points. If you weren't so predictable, I wouldn't come off sounding so condescending.

If you are actually keeping track of your points, deduct 2 more points. Because I can, that's why.

Finally, if you have taken every name in your AOL buddy list and entered it in the search thing to see if they have a livejournal too, deduct 5 points. If you really want to know something about that person, just frickin' call them or something. Don't even get me started about annoying AOL habits.

Okay, so what's the tally? If you have under 10, please think very hard about it, and take the appropriate action to remove yourself from society. If you have 0-5 points, you're still an ingrate, but still tolerable. If you have 5-9 points, good work! There's still hope for some of you! If you have 10 points still, you're lying, and as a result, deduct all 10 points. Who's laughing now, fucker?!!?

I have one. I update it every once in awhile, but I dont just say what I did in my day. I usually put some kind of poems or random one liners in it.

I think its very odd in society these days though that kids just spill out their lives for anyone to read on the net.

I think they're pretty dumb. If you actually use it as a personal journal, why would you want anyone in the world to be able to read it? Then, if you actually realize that anyone can read it and you don't put anything personal, it just ends up with a bunch of people putting the mundane details of their day up:

i have one and i use it a lot. i use to update people about my boring life and post stupid things that I think are interesting, but then I also post a lot of private posts that I write just for myself that no one else can read. it's a good way to keep in touch with people and meet others that have the same interests as you too. oh, it's also a good way to pass the time! hahaha

I think they're dumb now instead of your parents finding your journal, everyone else can.

I love mine. Eventually they transform from "I hung out with so and so today" to something more. Lately all I do in mine is post pictures and write little bits about what music I like and what I like lately. Plus I like reading other people's. It's interesting to know about other people's lives. I don't really wanna know their deep dark secrets but I want to know what they do for fun and stuff like that.
