seven nation may be the easiest song to play ever... i dont play guitar and i have it near perfect... the drum part is a joke... as is most of her drumming. but if you like simple simple simple music, more power to you...

she has made out with ryan key, but he didnt want to go out

she has been offered cocaine by sugarcult but told them no, and one of them licked her ear

let's not get into this argument, fool

complexity does not a good song make

and you list these as your "all time faves": Brand New
Matchbox 20
Third Eye Blind
Sum 41
Coheed & Cambria
Somethign Corporate

if you had any semblance of discerning taste, you'd be able to comprehend "simple" from "bad"

tell the Beatles they wrote nothing but bad songs

i didnt say it made band songs, just not musically entertaining... matchbox 20, 3eb, and SoCo i dont love for complexity, but rathar for the cathiness of the songs and ability to sing along, they also stay creative within their specific musicla styles (as do white stripes)

As for Sum 41, you obviously have not listened to the new cd or even Does This Look Infected, because if you did, you cant say many of the guitar parts arent hard to play. and as for Coheed, please tell me you're joking...

The Beatles wrote some good stuff, but i have never really loved the band because of the fact they do have some blah songs. i think its more of an age thing because if i was alive at the time they first existed, they were the most creative thing of the time

and as for White Stripes, some of their guitar work is a bit tricky, but even you have to admit that Seven Nation Army is very very very simple. I also dont like Jack's voice that much...

Way to admit being wrong. You did all the work for me

Don't begin talking about musical complexity until you wear a beret, speak Catalan, and listen to free form jazz

We all listen to horribly simple music, the levels of simplicity are negligible.

Just admit they aren't your cup of tea, don't try to defend it by tossing around the word "simple" as if it means anything

Ok, well go ahead and back away when you get bested, I hear that's how you build character

You obviously meant that as an attack or judgment, or else you wouldn't have said "simple simple simple simple"

If you intend on acting the part of a judgmental hypocrite, be prepared to be called out on it

I don't own a White Stripes cd

I've only heard the singles

I didn't take it as an attack on me, rather a baseless attack on a band

One of my biggest pet peeves is kids who listen to the "underground" bashing bands as "simple" for whatever unfounded reasons

I don't care what you listen to either, in fact, I like a lot of the bands that you do

But don't act like you have some "universal truth"

one of my biggest pet peeves i guess u can call it is on message boards such as these, people argue over opinions... sure i may be a little hypocritical right now.... but let people listen to what they want to, if everyone listened to the exact same music life would suck.

I understand it's your opinion. It's also my opinion that Yellowcard sucks. Does this mean I'm not bashing them?

I put underground in quotes for a reason. The only thing you can possibly argue over are opinions. Facts are irrefutable. So I don't know what kind of expectations you have about not arguing over opinions if those are the only arguments that can arise. I let you listen to whatever you want, that's never been a part of this. Like I said, I don't even like the White Stripes that much, I'm not out here to promote them, I'm not trying to stop people from listening to what they want. In fact, it's the exact opposite, and it appeared as though you were "bashing" those who listened to the White Stripes.

"unless you like simple simple simple music"

There's no way you can deny that that wasn't an attack, and you're all about people listening to whatever they want.

It doesn't matter though, this is retarded.
