This was their Fall '08 US tour opener. Unlike their Hootenanny shows over the past few months, this was a straight up Weezer show with some cool surprises.

I walked into the half-filled arena to Tokyo Police Club. While I didn't catch their whole set, what I saw was really boring. The majority of their set was 2 minute, upbeat songs that were bass/drum heavy. Most people seemed indifferent to them.

Next was Angels And Airwaves. It seemed to take a few songs for Tom's voice to get warmed up, but the band sounded amazing. I always forget how tight Atom is as a drummer. Their light show was incredible. While I'm not too hip to all of their material, they played about 8 songs and I'm pretty sure they played these songs:

- The Adventure
- The War
- Everything's Magic
- Love Like Rockets

Lastly, the almighty Weezer took the stage. Their stage looked very bare. A small drum riser was really the only elevation on stage. A white sheet provided their backdrop, and the members of the band came out in white jumpsuits. As the set progressed, the white backdrop fell revealing an entire backdrop of LEDs which created different images and patterns for different songs. The band eventually shed their white suits for red soccer jumpsuits, then eventually to blue soccer shirts with black mesh shorts. Each band member sang a few tunes, and there was a lot of instrument switching. Their first encore was a Hootenanny consisting of 2 songs and about 30 lucky fans playing all sorts of instruments. They came back out for a second encore of 2 more songs.

Here is a list of songs they played with some info on them (* songs are in correct order)...

Dope Nose* (scott on vox)
Hash Pipe*
Dreamin'*
Undone (the sweater song)* (ft. tom and atom from AVA and pat on lead guitar)
Automatic* (pat on vox/guitar and atom on drums)
Troublemaker
Suzanne (a cappella intro)
Say It Ain't So
Keep Fishin'
El Scorcho (brian on vox)
Pink Triangle
King (scott on vox)
Perfect Situation (scott on vox)
Pork And Beans
The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived*
Oasis Cover* (whats the story morning glory)
-------------------------
Encore 1 (Hootenanny)
Island In The Sun*
Beverly Hills*
-------------------------
Encore 2 (Heart Songs played on a record player which Rivers kicked over during the bridge appropriately into)
Nirvana Cover*
Buddy Holly*

I'm pretty sure that was it. A handful of Blue Album, a handful of Red Album, and 2 songs from every album in between. We can always wish for more Blue Album and Pinkerton, but overall it was a really fun show! I'd love to know if they are changing up their setlists throughout the tour, so if anyone is going, post them up!!

Which Nirvana song did they play?

I'm honestly not sure of the name. I recognized it only enough to know that I'd heard it before, and that it wasn't Weezer. Maybe something off Nevermind? (since they played it after talking about that album in the bridge of "Heart Songs").
