I think like 5ish? Not entirely sure.
But yes, I definitely recall it being on the radio ever since I can remember, which can't really be any time passed 5.

They were running down the top 100 songs of the 90's on Vh1 or something and they stopped on Tennessee from Arrested Development. Man I loved that group.
Third Eye Blind's self-titled debut was the first album I ever purchased. Semi-Charmed is definitely up there. Don't forget The Wallflowers, Soundgarden, Weezer.

That song makes me want to punch babies,
And I'm a nice, non-violent person who loves babies.
(Not in that way before I get attacked).
I would have said that when I was 17, too. I am now much wiser.

Actually I like Hanson's "Where's the Love" better, but that song wasn't the huge hit that MMMbop was. And MMMbop is plenty awesome, anyhow.

YES. I love 3EB fans, it's so hard to find people that know more than their singles. "The Background" and "God Of Wine" are up there on this album as well.

Woot! Is it just me or does the beginning of Drive by sound very similar to "Hey there Delilah"?

When I think of my favorite single track of the '90s, I immediately hear Death to Everyone by Bonnie "Prince" Billy. For many reasons, I find that song is perfectly indicative of the milieu of that entire decade.

Really? I want to hear this! The only cover of the song I have heard is off of Punk Goes 90s, which was abhorrent. I bet The Ergs! cover is 100000 times better.

We had a fundraiser at my school two years ago called "stop the bop" where they played that song over the intercom over and over until the students donated enough money. Someone ripped a speaker off the wall and all of the mentally handicapped kids went crazy.

We had something like that at our school as well, but it was a High School Musical song. When you gave money you could either vote to stop it or keep it. This went on for two weeks during all of our passing periods, lunches, and a half hour before and after school. Whoever thought of that donation campaign needs to be kicked in the shin.

When I was @ Reading festival this year after one of the Main stage bands finished there was a massive queue for the loo's I'm talking 50 or so people & someone started singing the chorus to mmmbop - then next thing you know 50 odd people were all singing along it was epic (until it got to the verse then everyone mumbled until the chorus again)
hahahaha i'll give that video props for the chorus lyrics, nicely done. the verses not so much.

I go with the cliche choice - OK Computer, but I See a Darkness would be number two on my list with Laughing Stock being somewhere in my top ten. Regardless each of these albums are absolutely incredible in their respective fashion.
I'll admit, I just discovered Oldham's library about a year ago. Get back with me in three or four years or so and my opinion of I See a Darkness may be considerably higher.
