Since I imagine AP would write about stuff I'd actually give a crap about, I think I would definately read them. It could really add a lot more appeal to coming to the site heaps. Just give you that extra little thing to do while waiting for people to respond in the forum or something. Definate potential there.

Here is a cool idea for AP.

They should set up a section where the members of AP can sudmit a bunch of bands or just one. AP would hire someone to listen to the bands, and would pick out a few to post on AP's front page, just to give them some attention, help the little bands out. It could also turn into a contest where the band that wins is awarded a few sections on the web page.. I.E - "Featured Download" "Featured Video" they are given a pop-up as you enter the web page, they are given a "side" of the web page for one of there banners.

I don't know, I have a bunch of ideas, if anyone is interested in hearing them.. IM me at De La Pat 1.

Also, to expand on the political section, you should get two people from each party that strictly write in the articles section, and have an exclusive (or re-do completley) the political forum so it turns into a "Crossfire" type section, which would be really interesting. And not to leave out the other parties, but try and find someone that considers themself a Green, or whatever else is out there.

Oh, and and the whole "band" contest would be done once a month, and they would keep there spot for only a week.. If that doesn't conflict with other contracts.. I think this would be really interesting and would bring a lot more attention to the web page. And it would be really original because I haven't heard of a music zine ever doing that before.

Who knows, maybe AP could help sign another band... or a few...

Since you guys have worked with Purevolume before, you could get them to set up a prompt of some sort so that bands can also enter themselves, just incase one of the members misses a band. Set up a private e-mail account that can only be checked by the person in charge of taking a listen.. or you know what, it should be a couple of people with a different taste, that would make things very interesting. You could also try and work with Myspace because there is plenty of awesome bands on there as well. Even though most of them are on Purevolume as well, it is still worth a shot.

ya that might be kool cept the problem is...I doubt there's anyone in the staff who is unbiased and who would pick totally fair...if it were up to tate it'd be like "why is Bush gay and YC amazing?"...but I think it can definitely happen...but I still feel that we should have discussions of current events as this is going on.

Well, everyone is biased to a certain extent. I forget your name Richter, but you were one of the people I had in mind that would make a good writer. I was also thinking Alan, and if Dom is being serious, him as well. I have read what he has said before and it really is intelligent.

Even though I hate that Justin_stacy kid, he would make a good candidate too, as well as Cal, and Yeat.

There is also a really smart kid from the left side, but I forget his handle, and I think he would do a really good job as well.
