Not big into hip-hop, but I think ADM and Swollen Members are good. Excuse me while I rape "Worship and Tribute" with my cd player.

Mos Def rocks. It was cool to hear organic hard rock/funk type stuff on his new record, as opposed to programmed beats everyone puts out. Not that there's anything wrong with programmed beats if it's good.

anticon is the best label in the world, no matter what genre. country, hip hop, punk, whatever your flavor, anticon reigns supreme.

I'm going to toss these onto that list:

The Roots
Jurassic 5
Aceyalone
Black Star (even though Mos Def and Talib Kweli have already been mentioned separately, but whatever)
Dilated Peoples
Blackalicious

I'm sure there's more, but I don't have my stuff in front of me.

Jurassic 5 and Blackalicious... I loved them in the day...

I was never into the Fugees... I thought they were overrated...

Jurassic 5
Dilated Peoples Now, if you like these, I might suggest Awol One. He toured with both groups, and I honestly love his stuff. It's definitely different, no doubt.
