Its a bloody hard one. If you are deaf you cant appreciate all the wonderful music that brought us to this forum in the first place, but if you are blind you cant appreciate the wonders of the world. Deafness would probably make life easier than blindness, so as much as I LOVE my music, I'm gonna have to say deaf.

i'd give up my music and go deaf. I could still feel the dirty bass in the music though...

who says you cant create music beetov. did it and well we all know what happened to him ;)

Deaf. Despite the fact that i couldn't listen to my music, there is a deaf kid at my school and she has a hearing aid and a translator, and we have to watch everything in closed caption (which pisses me off) but basically makes it so she can live an almost normal life. I don't know how you could get that being blind. Besides Beethoven was a composer and a damn good one so you can create music being deaf.

BuriedAlive

I'd much rather be blind. You wont get all caught up in appearances, then you will not only find true love but fall in love with her/him also (well if they give ya the chance haha) plus you can still listen to music and make music and everything.

There are so many more things you cannot expeirience without the ability to hear then not being able to see. You can't listen to music, which is probably one of the oldest things in existance. Not just art forms, things . The main things I could see being a big hinderance if you can't see are the inablility to see art, not being able to drive (which you also couldn't do if you were deaf) and not being able to watch tv or see a movie perfectly.

Deaf because then I would haven't to listen to stupid people talk.

I think it would be easier to be deaf than blind. I don't know, sight seems more important to me.

I would rather be blind, sure I wouldn't be able to drive or barely even walk for that matter but I still think that I would rather listen to the world than see it.

Good point, Id rather be blind. It would totally make you a better person I believe. You become a greater musician as well.

i'd go with the blind option.

punklet2101

I'd have to say blind...

For music reasons.

It would be better to go blind than to be born blind... so then at least I can remember what people in my life look like.

no you don't. sure there's some very good musicians that are blind, but that doesn't mean that being blind made them better musicians.

no you don't. sure there's some very good musicians that are blind, but that doesn't mean that being blind made them better musicians.
it would help you become a better musician beacause your other senses enhance if you lose one or if you are born without one. like you'll become more inclined to hearing then you would focus on seeing and what not.

It'd be great if you were deaf and someone just came up to you and started talking to you and you just stared at them. then after they were done you tell the in sign language you didn't hear a damn word they said, and walk away.

then everyone that's blind would be very talented. but that's not the case.

my sister is deaf, but she got a cochlear implant and now can hear alright, at least heraing is somewhat curable... blindness would suck ass so i choose deafness

I'd rather be deaf. They have implants that can help you regain your hearing. Plus i would find it hard to trust my life to a dog if i were blind.

BuriedAlive

no it doesn't. especially if you aren't musically inclined. PLUS if you were to go blind you would know most everything about guitar (or whatever else) so you'd know where everything is and it wouldn't be hard to tune into it. plus you'd learn to focus with your ears since you wouldn't have your eyes to focus with..

im already blind in one eye, and if i couldnt hear music, id die.
