"TAI and FOB in LA...
So I'm in Los Angeles... I know you're probably thinking "...the fuck is he doing in LA now? Wasn't he just in Tampa?" Well, yes. i was just in Tampa. And I am now in LA, doing guest vocals on the new Fall Out Boy record (which sounds incredible, by the way.) I just finished doing the parts, and thanking Patrick for letting me sing with him. I just downed 4 Chicken soft tacos from Del Taco, and I haven't felt this refreshed for some time now... But let me start from the moment I woke...
6:30 am. I woke up on the couch with all of my clothes still on from last night, and the TV was on the menu screen for Smallville Season One... I'd fallen asleep watching TV again. i rolled off the couch and put my computer away. Then I proceeded to lightly pack for a one night stay in LA. Everything seemed fine. Then my father and I had a bit of a tiff, only to make up minutes later. However, our encounter caused us both to be late. I ended up getting to Mike's house ( Mike came with me... what a good sport. ) at 8:30, and our plane was supposed to depart at 9:24... Yikes. So we got to the airport around 9:00, so we were basically expecting to re-schedule... Turns out, the flight was delayed about 45 minutes, so we were sent running to the gate... The only problem was I forgot my photo-ID in my other pants from the Tampa trip. So I was "subject to thorough bag search" . Which ended up meaning, "Come to the front of this huge line, and get your bags peaked into while we do the routine search we would for anyone else while your friend Mike has to wait in the back of the line." So we made it onto the plane, and I was very relieved to have made the flight. I was 99% convinced we weren't making this flight. So the plane was taking some time to take off, and the pilot's voice came over the intercom. "Sorry for the wait... We have a small crack in one of the exterior windows of the plane, so we have our trouble-shooting specialists out there with a magnifying glass examining the crack... This could be very bad, or we could be okay for flight." At that moment, I knew this day was just getting more fucked. We ended up having to pile off the plane, and wait for a new plane with crackless windows. We finally ended up taking off around 1:00 PM. On the plane ride I watched Smallville some more, and wrote a bit. We touched down in LAX at 4PM, a full 4 hours after we were originally scheduled to land. We took a shuttle van to the studio, and because of LA traffic, a half hour drive turned into a 2 hour drive. But in the end, we ended up getting here. Here I sit, in the lounge, writing this journal entry as Mike is outside talking with a hip-hop producer about writing, and while Patrick is tracking vocals in the other room. Right now, I like where I'm at. But like most days, I'll be some where else tomorrow. Tomorrow, I wake up at 5:45 am to take a flight back home. Maybe this one will be on time.

at first i thought that topic said "willem dafoe guest vocals on fall out boys disc". then i was like alright this disc sounds like it might be pretty rocking now. i mean willem dafoe is a great actor, who would have thought he could sing. sadly, i read the rest of the post and found out it was the mediocre singer from that band FBR shouldnt have signed and proceeded to throw up.
