stendhal

Not green at the gills
Or blue in the face
Just a little red in the eyes
and staring into space
Watching black feet
black wings
balck beaks
In unison
Singing again, a song
To whom it doesn't concern
So, whoever wants to know:
It was "Once upon a time in Mexico"
We were fast, it was slow
As I recall, So we ditched the show
For no place to go but misty windows
Shaking to the bone,
so to speak, so you spoke,
"Let's turn tail and elope,
we could fix what ain't broke." oh,
we didn't have 'it'
So I had to go at it, all alone
deserted the desert
and hocked the 'hills' for a home
But I love you more than cliche words for the birds
(watching black feet, black wings, black beaks...)
And more than exploited stories about my past
(deserted the desert for something that'll last.)
-------------------------------------------------------------
the flow may seem wierd, but it works well musically.
