Drive-Thru Records (www.drivethrurecords.com) and Rushmore Reocrds (www.rushmorerecords.com) both have new The Track Record (www.thetrackrecord.com) intros on their websites.

Yes!!! It's about time that The Track Record gets the attention they deserve. And, it's really cool that two Maryland bands are on Drive-Thru/Rushmore!!! Hopefully Drive Thru doesn't make these guys go into long periods of hibernation like they fucking have with Adelphi. I used to see Adelphi all the time and since they got signed to Drive Thru they never show their face in public anymore.

Whoa whoa whoa...
Drive-Thru didn't make them hibernate, Adelphi went and wrote like fucking badgers... well, if badgers wrote...
AND
They just recorded demo's which are gonna BLOW YOU AWAY.
Expect them up on their pureVOLUME soon.
source : Alex from Adelphi
He said their different from the other stuff, but we all should like it.
He also said their album should be out spring/early summer
and that it's a summer time album, very upbeat.

personally i think drive thru is making up for a lot of their mistakes by making a second label. It also seems like they are finding a lot of fresh talented bands for them to work with unlike their signings a year ago. Socratic, Adelphi, and jenoah bring nothing to the table. Although, Jenoah had potential but with the internal drama im not sure if they will ever become much.

Wow, I agree with most of what you said about Jenoah but I think that Socratic and Adelphi are pretty good. Maybe I'm just biased about Adelphi because they are basically local to me but Socratic has potential, just my opinion. Socratic is ok live but people haven't gotten into them b/c mostly everyone has only heard one song from them. Just give it a couple more listens and you might dig it. :guitar:

well the reason most people have only heard one song is because there is only one song and that goes the same for adelphi. I could think of hundreds of bands that are more qualified for a record deal of this magnitude. Drive thru made the mistake of signing a string of bands that were not ready to commit to their deal. The reason people talk down on these bands is because there just isnt enough material to judge.

I think Drive thru did an amazing job signing Halifax. Those guys were bound to get picked up by someone, anyone who sees them live falls in love.

i personally think drive-thru has completely gone downhill since they signed jenoah and socratic, but the track record is(in my opinion) their most decent signing since then
