Rock bands that aren't that bad

The rock genre had become crap when the definition of a rock album became a single surrounded by filler. All of these bands had the talent and drive to make solid cds.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Their music is awesome. Their albums flow nicely.
System Of A Down - The most original band in rock. Their real albums albums are all solid.
Chevelle - First album was catchy but a little slow. Their new heavy sound is alot better and actually works well with Thrice's - The Artist...
Strata - Passionate band. Worked hard to get signed and write awesome songs.
Muse - You all know them.
Lostprophets - One of few bands whose sophomore effort blew away their debut.
Papa Roach - People aren't gonna like me for putting this band down. But their 1st and 3rd full lengths are awesome. They change their sound with every record. "Between Angels And Insects" has awesome lyrics and a good message.
Linkin Park - Sue me, because there is no reason for anyone to hate them.

Strata is hard to describe because they are fairly unique. 36 Crazyfists meets Glassjaw meets a rock sound maybe. It's tough. Try out some of their music.

papa roach, lost prophets, linkin park, system of a down are all bands that i liked freshmen year. i guess my taste in music has changed or "evolved"... plus, all their follow-up albums werent very good in my opinion.
