Attended last night in Denver, really great show.
Awesome crowd, so many people singing along with Jonny which surprised me, not to mention Jonny himself sounding great (when I could hear him, his vocals were drowned out most of the time). Oh and Maris The Great was among the crowd which was a huge surprise to me, he was nice, but insanely and disturbingly creepy at the same time.
The opening bands were eh (The Years Gone By, Burden Of a Day, In Fear And Faith), The Years Gone By performed well though. A bunch of hXc moshers were there for In Fear And Faith but I didn't mind them since I was up front the whole time.
Jonny was very friendly with the crowd, contrary to comments I've read on the internet about him peforming live (never seen DGD or Emasosa before). I was inches from him almost the whole set, the girls were amazed by him which surprised me none. The whole band overall replicated the sound off the CD pretty decently, great guitar work was even greater to see performed live. One of the guitarist got a ridiculous bloody nose in the middle of the set and someone shouted "TOO MUCH COCAINE!" which I found funny. The guy from In Fear And Faith I believe got on the stage and sung the vocals for the encore song Casablanca alongside Jonny which was pretty cool to see.
Setlist:
Pretend. Release. The Close.
What's A Clock Without Batteries?
Heads Or Tails? Real or Not
Her Advice Cost Us A Life
Sailing In The Dark Isn't Smart Kid!
Set It Off Like Napalm
(either extended outro or another song?)
Casablanca (Encore!)
