W00t art majors! What school do you go to and how is the program? I am at Northern Michigan University and I must say it is a pretty good school, especially considering the price (and they give you a macbook!).

I'm actually already making some money doing what I'll do after school on a smaller scale. I have absolutely no worries about making money after school! Thanks for the concern though!

I'm at Herkimer County Commuinty College, and the art studies progam is really good, Free computer, awesome. My parents will pay for a state school, but not for a private school or my Master's I've got to get. Understandable. I already have an Associate's in Tourism wiht a minor of Hotel & Resturant Managment.

I love being an art major. We're clearly a superior breed.

She'll actually make pretty decent money if she's an art therapist.

Yeah, in 2007, it was on the brand new list of Hot Jobs, I'm not sure exactly how they judge that, but it sounds good to me.

And having a Masters and a Lisence does generally mean you'll make more money, but not in all cases (*ahem,* teachers;) but nevertheless, I think that by it's growing popularity and such, by the time I'm done with my degrees I'm sure it'll be more established.

I generally do graphic and web work, but am looking into possibly doing level design for video games after I graduate... we'll see.

And as far as art majors being a rare breed, I think it depends on the school, because art is the 2nd biggest school at NMU next to nursing, and is probably going to be bigger in the next 5 years.

That sounds awesome!

And the superior thing, I wasn't being terribly serious. At both schools I've been to so far, Crimminal Justice has been HUGE. Granted, they're both community colleges, but there are so many people in that feild. The farthest I get into that is watching my beloved Law & Order SVU marathons.
