The postal service is an amazing band. I reall like how they are origonal. Im so sick of all these cliché bands out there that all sound the same. They are one of the few bands that journeys down a new path. One less traveled on.

actually, indie-folkster Jen Wood provided a majority of the female vox on the album. far more than the wonderful ms. Lewis.

actually, jen wood only sang on "nothing better" and "such great heights." jenny lewis did the rest. when you look in the liner notes, lewis is in tracks 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9.

the remix of "we will become silhouttes" was so so dissapointing. it kept building and building and the end could have been so huge and then it just quickly tapered off and ended. i have never liked any of the remixes of postal serivce songs i have heard but for a while i thought that might be the first. so dissapointing.

also, jenny lewis is amazing.

what bright eyes stuff does she do? i know in the beginning of "lifted" you hear her and blake talking in the van, but she's not listed as contributing anything else to any of the other albums. she also played the tambourine at the shortlist awards for him, but...that's not anything really. (she sings on the good life's "inmates," for any of you who might not have heard that song yet. towards the end, the last minute and a half or so. and the elected's "greetings in braille.")

her solo cd's going to kick so much ass if it's anywhere near as good as her live [solo] stuff.

Postal Service is amazing. I don't know why everyone's hating on the remixes though. Some of them are quite great in my opinion. Dntel has done re-done some of the songs quite nicely.

Someone posted a few monhts ago on the death cab rumor board that a new album from TPS would be out in 06. Definitely not this year, a Dntel record is coming. On the bright side, conor oberst is supposedly lending his voice to a song.
