A Texas jury acquitted a man accused of killing a boy who broke into his home looking for a snack
Gonzalez, who was in a nearby building at the time, went into the trailer and confronted the boys with a 16-gauge shotgun. Then he forced the boys, who were unarmed, to their knees, attorneys on both sides say.The boys say they were begging for forgiveness when Gonzalez hit them with the barrel of the shotgun and kicked them repeatedly. Then, the medical examiner testified, Anguiano was shot in the back at close range. Two mashed Twinkies and some cookies were stuffed in the pockets of his shorts.

so the defense succeeded in convincing the jury that the man had a right to defend his property with lethal force even if it wasn't needed because it had been broken into......not really suprising since we're talking about a state that acquits men of killing thier wives if the wife was cheating.

Im going to be highly pissed off if this is an illegal! Coming into our country for free not only when you dont belong here, but to shoot a legal citizen who isn't even of age and probably couldn't even hold up a fight. Give me a fuckin break. Mother fucker cant even speak English. I hope no hate groups find out where he lives because if they do i bet he is history

Let me weigh in on this. My dad is from Mercedes, Texas which is just outside of Mcallen, Texas another border city. I have always thought that the border cities in Texas (Brownsville, Mcallen, El Paso and Laredo) reflect some social paradoxes. For one, Mexicans predominate but contrary to what the know-nothings would have you believe the crime rate in these cities is quite low when compared to other cities. Not to mention with rival cartels duking it out in what could almost be described as pitched warfare in cities like Nuevo Laredo and Matamoros you would expect the level of violence to spill over more. Another curious thing about these cities is that fairly high poverty levels don't seem to boost crime as one might think.
Damn doing that made me reconsider my major.

My thoughts on this. I will be the first one to say I am an insanely liberal and I would go as far to call myself a Socialist. However, I have no gripes against gun ownership and own one myself. I live in a fairly rough neighborhood and in simple terms people from the great state of Nuevo Leon don't cop out when the going gets tough.
I also generally don't mind the castle law but this is down right a cold-blooded execution.

On another note I also commend these border states for voting Democrat, almost all of them do and they will all vote for Obama this year, Dallas County will likely follow suit and will sway to the Democrats as well.

I would have no problem living in any of the border regions, I know Spanish and I consider it a challenge to smuggle booze and cigarettes without paying taxes.

no man, i loved it! it was awesome. they had actual spacecraft there. they had an actual mercury craft and they had the actual gemini 4 craft where ed white did the first us spacewalk and the actual apollo 17 command module which wentt o the moon!! and they had a saturn five and moon rocks! it was so good! that was the reason i went to houston to see that! it was well worth it!!
