"Easily Misunderstood" is one of the best post-rock albums hands down.

I think that this band is vastly underrated due to their name. It almost sounds like they're trying to be a joke-band when in actuality, they are really fucking good.

I downlaoded this band simply because of their name, not knowing what they played. But I was rather pleased with what I head.

Its also funny to see people's reaction when I recommend this band.

Yeah the name is ridiculous, but the music is fantastical.

I think it's weird, but this summer i was in a huge Funk kick, and as the season change i've been wanting more Ambient and Electronica, and Post-Rock music.

Goodbye Melody Mountain is some excellent Post-Rock. It's got a neat edge to it a think.

Love that album (and Easily Misunderstood). Was listening to them all yesterday.

I'm relatively new to the genre, but TSJ5 seems to throw in some extra tweaks that make them stand out. Such as flute and clarient in the background.

With a name like the Samuel Jackson Five I was expecting this to be the greatest musical endeavour ever. As such I was massively dissapointed. How can you have a name like that and not just pulverise everyone and everything with your musical greatness?

Oh, but it does.

tried their first record a couple years ago and didn't dig it. Tried this one and felt the same, although it is a step-up. Guess I'm just not ready for jazz. It's like the famous (to me, at least) scene from the Mighty Boosh: "When the melodies get abstract, you mess your trousers."

Haha i love how you put that. Well, a think lots of genres sort of take time.

At least. I love the vast instrumentation on Goodbye Melody Mountain. That's a side of Post-Rock i'm willing to see.

I got Easily Misunderstood back in 2007, and loved it, but never got around to getting anything else of theirs. What album should i get next?
