SOLVED: it was "Right Now Na Na Na" by Akon

Alright, I was at a party this weekend and I heard a song that I really liked but was outside my usual genre so I did not recognize it.

It's a radio-type track so maybe someone hear can figure out what it is. It's one of the new-style dance-rap-techno-pop songs and its musical style of pretty similar to "Forever" by Chris Brown but the vocalist sounds much more...black.

Somewhere in the song, lays the two following lines (perhaps subject to paraphrasing): A) I want to make love and B) It won't be long until I have you by my side

The lyrical subject matter contains the idea of, as can be assumed, getting a girl back and fucking her. But, it's the type of song that can appeal to a listener that likes substance in their music.

So, who knows it? Because I'm OCDing over it pretty bad.

You realize the two lyrical excerpts you stated, are in about 35 rap songs right now. In all of which, the singers sound much more blacker than Chris Brown.

What happened to people googling lyrics to find out songs haha. It's the easiest way, you know those lines roughly so just pop them into google, and try wording them in a few different ways if nothing comes up.

go to this website----> http://www.sing365.com/index.html and go to advanced search. then do a phrase search. they will give you a list of songs that contain those lyrics.

I've tried Google, Letssingit, and Sing365 and none of them are producing anything for me.

just keep listening to that station, you'll hear it enough to know it by heart.

it was playing on someone's laptop at a party, not on a radio station

Would it be too awkward to approach the person/group who hosted the party and/or owned the laptop?

You probably misheard the lyrics.

Google "singers that sound blacker than Chris Brown"

I did but all I got were Elton John ballads and old Raffie sing-alongs.
