Charles Dickens' timeless tale of an old miser who must face Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come, as they help to bring kindness to his otherwise cold heart. The Ghosts remind him of the man he used to be, the hard truth of what the world is today, and what will happen if he does not strive to be a better man. Set around Christmas, the most joyous day of the year, Scrooge realizes the sharp contrast of his own personality.

Jim Carrey plays four separate roles in this updated version of A Christmas Carol. Carrey portrays Scrooge, as well as the three ghosts (Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come). His dynamic character roles keep the four characters as diverse as being played by four actors.

Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future trilogy) has his chance to dabble in telling a story through the windows of time, as he directs the long-awaited remake.

its supposed to be shot like polar express was which i thought was pretty cool. i hope it turns out good

Hmm, this could be interesting. Polar Express was okay but it was admittedly a little creepy looking with the faces. Hopefully they've worked out some of the kinks. I'm intrigued to see Jim Carrey in this.

Ha. I didn't read that part. Kind of....weird. New role for Oldman, that's for sure. It's got Cary Elwes in it too!

His animation in those films is kind of creepy. I'd rather just have a live-action version again.

yeah i admit the creepy factor was pretty high but i thought it was a cool way to shoot a movie regardless. they've probably improved everything and worked out the kinks like you said

I was so bummed out by The Polar Express. I was very excited to see it and then I saw it and was bored out of my mind during it. Couldn't wait for that thing to end.

in the synopsis it says the ghost of "yet-to-come" so i think its going to be not so scary and very G rated

Well, as long as he's not, y'know....wacky. I'm fine if he's not so scary but I don't want him to be wacky.

yes i agree. it should be true to the story but its still aimed towards little kids so a happy medium between those.
