...what the fuck
Friday, September 26th ended a week in which thousands of copies of Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West -- the fear-mongering, anti-Muslim documentary being distributed by the millions in swing states (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/erik-ose/pro-mccain-group-dumping_b_125969.html) via DVDs inserted in major newspapers and through the U.S. mail -- were distributed by mail in Ohio. The same day, a "chemical irritant" was sprayed through a window of the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton, where 300 people were gathered for a Ramadan prayer service. The room that the chemical was sprayed into was the room where babies and children were being kept while their mothers were engaged in prayers. This, apparently, is what the scare tactic political campaigning of John McCain's supporters has led to -- Americans perpetrating a terrorist attack against innocent children on American soil.

I don't get it. Why the children.

I wouldn't be surprised if McCain authorized this scheme himself.

i'm sure whoever did it has a right wing ideology, but yeah, this really can't be blamed on mccain.
screw the mccain-palin ticket though.

I can't believe this.
This didn't happen in some far away place -- but right here in Dayton, and to my friends. Many of the Iraqi refugees were praying together at the Mosque Friday evening. People that I know and love.
You would think it would be enough that we've caused millions to become refugees, but no, they can't even feel safe where they take refuge. Damn shame.

While you can't blame John McCain or his campaign directly, he should condemn this action, for the sake of common sense, if not his campaign.

I understand that you and a bunch of other people on this forum do not agree with many of my views and opinions, and I tried to make peace in that last thread, so don't bring up shit you don't like to other threads. Please.

Ok. For one, the average Iranian is a muslim. The average american is a christian. The average Iranian actually supports their government, or at least more so than the average american. The average Iranian harbors an anti Israeli sentiment, whereas the average american doesn't know what the fuck Israel is.
There are quite a few differences. And if you are asking me if I think an Iranian is more prone to terrorism than an American. Yes. I'm sorry, but yes. I'm not saying all Iranians are terrorists, and I'm not sayng all terrorists are muslims, but Iran and it's government do support Terrorist Organizations.

Wrong wrong wrong. All wrong. Iran is more complex than that. The average Iranian hates the government, and has very good reason to. Young Iranians are trying to leave the country however they can because the government is making it so difficult to live there. Do they also blame the United States? Yes. Iranians both blame the United States and are fascinated by it. They blame it because they feel that the US was the puppetmaster of Iran for years, ever since Western leaders overthrew their first democratically elected government and helped bring the first Pahlavi shah to power. They blame the Western world for not lifting a finger when Saddam Hussein bombarded their country. And when the shah was overthrown, no Western power--which had supported him throughout his reign, and received Iranian oil profits--moved to help him when he was dying of cancer. At the same time, living in such a repressive state, many young Iranians see the US as a symbol of the freedom they don't have. Anything associated with Western culture is embraced by the youth. On the whole, Iranians mostly hate the US government--like most of the world nowadays, unfortunately--but not the people.
The average Iranian is NOT anti-Semitic. The statements of one blowhard, Ahmadinejad, do not pass as the sentiments of an entire country. That's like saying the views of George W. Bush represent the views of all Americans. Not even, because Ahmadinejad doesn't even have the power in Iran--he's the puppet of Khamenei. And the American government has sold weapons to plenty of terrorists. How is that not supporting them?
Both sides are painting the other as evil. The more Americans make blanket statements like "the average Iranian is more likely to support terrorism"--the more the average American feels he or she is better than the average Iranian--the more incentive is given to Iranians to hate Americans, and not just their government.
