jimmy eat world is the only one i can think of.
i find that in times of loss (which i know a thing or two about unfortunately) it's better to not just make yourself a mix cd and lock yourself in your room. it's all well and good to make the cd, but listen to it with a group of close friends, sitting around, talking about stuff. you don't even have to talk about the accident or the person who died, just being around your friends and realizing that you have people who care about you is sometimes enough.
music is awesome and all, but friends are really the thing that helps mend broken hearts.

that's such a good idea. so much better than sitting around alone feeling sorry for yourself.
i am incredibly sorry for your loss, a few years ago my friend got murdered and then last year my mom died, so i know a thing or two about how you must be feeling.
stay strong, everything's going to be alright.
maybe you should do something like make a mix cd of like... some of her favorite songs/bands and give them to her friends, i dunno... that could be sweet.
Strung Out - Too Close to See
Sigur Ros - Staralfur
Murder By Death - Holy Lord, Shawshank Redemption is a Good Movie
Jets to Brazil - Rocket Boy
Against Me! - Sink, Florida, Sink
