I really don't see how anyone could vote no. Even if you don't like ska, at least respect a little variety on the site. I'd vote yes to more indie news, and i'm not an indie fan at all, but I think diversity is neccessary.

I really don't like much ska but I still voted yes. Because like you said the diviersity really couldn't hurt, assuming that there isn't so much ska news posted that other news posts get buried instantly.

Definitely needs to be some ska news. Its reported when a Brand New song is playing in the background of a tv show but not one shread of ska news is ever posted.

There better be some ska news posted today. I submitted 4 different things on The Pietasters, The Aquabats, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Suburban Legends. I know why they don't post the news though. They probably think I'm making these bands and news submissions up because I don't think any of these staff member listen to ska.

I of course liking Ska am with you but for some reason I have this feeling that you just want a job here as the staff member for the Ska portion, correct me if Im wrong but thats what it seems like. Just pitch the idea to Tate, you may get it.

I come to ap for the forum...I go to punknews.org for news...absolutepunk is really misleading but this site is a business so that definitely "tricks" a lot of people to come here expecting punk but getting pop-punk, emo/screamo, and a little hardcore...there's no ska or...melodic hardcore (strike anywhere, rise against, a wilhem scream)...both of those genres are more "punk" than any band talked about here.

True but there wouldn't be a site if people stopped coming. Most of the time when you run a business you want to follow the demand of what your customers want. In the end this site is just another business.

I'm not saying that people would stop coming to the site if they never post ska news. It wouldn't hurt the site to draw in more fans that would come here for ska news because the only other site that posts ska news is Punknews. Seeing as how AP is their biggest rival to PN you would think they would want to post news about ska as well. I just think its ridiculous that this site will post about a song being played in the background of a tv show but not one bit of real ska news.

That's not it, I assure you. Of course, i'd love to work here, but i've sort of given up alot of hope on that. I've pitched the idea to Tate a countless amount of times, and there's never been anything done about it.

Did you ever e-mail Kelsey? Its definitely not true that all people need to do is submit news by the way because I submitted 4 ska stories. None were posted. Atleast one had to be newsworthy.
