I have been dying to see Sigur Ros live for a very long time. When they announced their tour dates and I saw they were coming no where close to Georgia, I was more than a little disappointed. But God bless my youth and good friends, because I somehow found myself making a three day trip to Colorado and back. A twenty-four hour drive each way, not stopping for more than 20 minutes the entire time, but it was worth every mile. This was hands down the best show Ive ever seen, and Ive seen literally hundreds of shows ranging from Arcade Fire and Radiohead to Nickel Creek and Foo Fighters.

We got the Red Rocks park about 5 hours before doors opened and hiked the mountain that Red Rocks was at the bottom of. This turned out to be a rather fortunate decision because about half way up Sigur Ros started to do their sound-check so we were able to hear them play four or five songs before the show even started. I recommend this show to anyone, just lovers of music in general. They create such a beautiful sound and live it transcends being able to be put into words. It's just a breath of fresh air. Here's the set for those of you that are familiar with their music. Please go see this show. Even if it does mean driving across the country.

I've always wanted to go to Red Rocks, and this band would be among the top of the list that I would choose to see there. How many people did you go with, and did you take turns driving?

yeah, it was quite the experience. we had four people go and we did take turns driving so it was a long drive but there was plenty enough time to sleep and all that jazz.

Man...I've been to Red Rocks TWICE...but both times were just during the day. I'd LOVE to go to a show there (especially Sigur Ros). It's so beautiful.

Wow, what a great setlist. I can't believe you got to hear dauðalagið live. I'm going to see them at Copley Symphany hall tonight. It's been 2 1/2 years since I've last seen them live, so I've been anticipating this show for quite a while...

Hi

I saw Sigur Rós last night in San Diego. Best show I have seen all year, and I want to
My Morning Jacket on Monday, and Radiohead a few weeks ago. All good, but this one was astonding!

Anyone know the set list for San Diego?

one of my friends parents both work there, so i get in for free at almost any show i want. i've seen rise against, the fray, foo fighters, and death cab for cutie there. my school also has our graduation there every year, and being in band, we get to hang out backstage before performing on the stage. it's really cool

Highlights are bolded. One of the best shows I've ever seen. The only better ones this year were Portishead and 3 of the 6 Radiohead shows I went to.
