What does everyone think about DVD commentaries? I've never really bothered to pay attention to them because I'd rather just watch the movie without interruption, but I also feel like there have got to be some can't-miss ones out there.

Love em? Hate em? Don't care either way?

I think they are fun to watch after the movie. Kind of interesting tid-bits that they point out.

I love them but it's hard to find a really interesting one that doesn't bore you to death. Off the top of my head, the commentary for Sunshine and Shaun of the Dead are good.

Edit: The Last Kiss is funny as well.

I enjoy commentaries very much, the best are those with director and cast members. T

The commentary on Superbad is as funny as the movie itself

I think it's so dumb to watch the movie with no sound, but you just hear people talking. I'd rather have a camera on the people talking and watch them.

same, but I can't help but feel like I'm missing out, never having watched/listened to a commentary before.

Yeah, whatever, I never watch it, so I'm not paying the extra $10 for them.

I enjoy listening to them after watching the movie for insight. My favorites are CHUD, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and Jason Goes to Hell, which are all hilarious,

Nacho Libre

Best commentary ever. I had to watch this movie on repeat at Circuit City when I worked there. One time, I through on the commentary and it's Jack Black making jokes about the movie while eating tacos.

Most Kevin Smith DVDs have really entertaining audio commentary. Like the special edition of Dogma - one of my favorites.

Yeah, I like 'em commentaries.

If done right, these can be golden.

I wish they did audio commentary on all the episodes of Arrested Development.

ditto.
the commentaries on always sunny are good, but theres only a couple.
the commentaries on 30 rock sucked, because for some reason they did single actor commentaries, they couldn't play off each other. i tend to watch them more on tv shows than movies. the human giant ones are pretty good. move-wise, the spinal tap one was a classic.

I haven't checked that out yet. I'm tempted to do so right now but I should be doing some reading. Will do later though.

I like the commentaries just because someone always points out something that I hadn't noticed before

Another movie that is 5 feet away from me right now and I haven't watched the commentary. Ugh. Okay okay, back to reading.

I usually watch them on TV shows. I think the only movie one I have watched is Wedding Crashers, because I was insanely bored.
