Wow, no thread for this band yet. This band has been on my radar for years now (ever since Geoff from Thursday recommended them to me)...they are such incredibly musicians and put together absolutely beautifully well-crafted songs. Original and innovative music. Even danceable, haha.

Their debut cd "Fiesta Fiesta Fiesta" leaked and it's so good.

Anyways, show some appreciation!!

I appreciate. I first heard of them back in 2005 and have been blasting "Black Tar Concubine" and "Murder at the Stiletto Formal" ever since. Both of those songs are masterpieces in their own way. Can you recommend something by them in the same vein of those 2?

Actually, if this is your kind of music, check out some of Foxy Shazam's earlier stuff. Wack, yo.

Tastes Like Black Licorice (favorite song by them....the lyrics are fucking awesome and paint such a vivid picture), Fall of Ambrose Pierce, Hills Like White are really good old songs of theirs.

Nightcap at Santa Fe, Fiesta Fiesta Fiesta, Sleeping Our Way to the Top are new songs that are pretty tight (I need to keep listening to the new cd so I remember more).

Sleeping Our Way to the top has a rapper in it, haha, but it's pretty fucking cool and catchy. It's streaming on their myspace. The other new song on their myspace is awesome too.

I never heard Foxxy's old stuff...But their new stuff is awesome, so I imagine I'll like their old.

I'm bumping a 2+ year old thread with 2 replies. Awesome.

Anyhow. What the fuck happened to this band?!

Kyle moved to LA (and mentioned reforming the band with some people there). and the other guys stayed in Arizona. That was last posted in June of 2009. I'd love to know what has happened since, myself.

am I missing something? other than the fact it may be based in AZ (since you are apparently), I'm unclear what that has to do with The Stiletto Formal.
