I don't pay enough attention to the NBA during the offseason to make decent predictions. Since the Pacers won't do shit this year, I hope the Hornets win the championship.
lol suns to win it all wow

manu shouldn't even qualify as a 6th man IMO. the only reason he comes off the bench is because he feels more comfortable doing that, and Pop obliges him. He would be a starter if not for that. it's not like he's a role player (which is what i think this award is for). anyway, he wont get it this year because he's going to miss a good chunk of the season. and the spurs will struggle.

haha. he still comes off the bench though. which is what the sixth man award is for.
ben gordon does the same shit. so by your logic, two of the best sixth men in the league shouldn't be eligible for the award just because they're too good to be coming off the bench?
that seems kinda silly.

He's close to signing a one year qualifying offer, he will be playing for the Bulls this year. I don't know enough about the other teams to make predictions, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Derrick Rose can do this year.

no, i just think those guys are guys who are stars in the league and have started before. with manu, he got hurt once and liked coming off the bench while he was still a little banged up and pop let him keep doing it because he would come in a couple min into the game and play pretty much the rest of the game. i know what the award is for, but some people argue about what should constitute winning the MVP, i just think this should be up for debate as well.
a nice person

well since he ranks third on his team in minutes played (31.0) and leads the team in scoring (19.5), i would say the whole "sixth man" notion is misleading. he is by no means a role player.

the pacers will be lucky to make the playoffs this year, hell they'll be lucky not to finish in the top 5 worst in the east or the nba this season. Hibbert might get some playing time this year, but he's not going to contribute to the team enough to make them even halfway good.
and would someone tell larry bird he doesn't need 3 starting point guards?

I have no idea what Scott just said, but floyd nice try with the comparison but you're an idiot. Both the Hornets and Lakers didn't make any drastic improvements to their teams over the offseason, and based off that fact and watching the teams go head to head last year, I don't understand why everyone is choosing the Hornets are going to be able to beat the Lakers in a series.
you can't guarantee shit about the lakers. do i think they'll the west yes. we'll win it by like a game or two. you can't say there is a clear cut best team in the west, its a ridiculous conference with 8 or 9 solid teams.

how can you not make that comparison with what you said? what huge move did the Rays make, acquire Matt Garza?
i like the Lakers but you basically guaranteeing theyll be better than the Hornets is pretty stupid. James Posey is a much better player than youre giving him credit for
the lakers and hornets were 2-2 against each other last year...
