It's funny how everyone's saying that they're going to be the only one with pubic hair when most people in this thread are in their late teens/early twenties.

I think it's the 18/19 year old's who are the worst at these kind of shows, because they think they have a chance. :P The younger ones are just star struck (when they're not elbowing you in the back). Gahhh!

so i went to the show on wednesday and it was a lot of fun, which was expected. even if you are not a "cobra starship fan", and you'd rather bitch about midtown not getting back together, cobra still puts on one of the best live shows that i have seen. the energy that the have cannot be matched by many other bands, and it is just a lot of fun.
forever the sickest kids were good, as usual. they played:

I may be missing one or two, but thats most of it (not in any order at all).
Hit the Lights was very good, but I thought that them and Forever the Sickest Kids should of switched places. They should of been able to play longer, but whatever they still were good.
Sing it Loud was good also, but I missed most of their set.
It was a very good show, a lot of younger kids, but still good. I can sit here and write a rant about how sick I am with people who complain about Midtown, but I'll keep it short. The fact it, Gabe is going to make music that he enjoys the most. People always want to be that person who "knew that band back in the day", but there are most likely legitimate reasons why Midtown is not together. I'm sick of coming into a news post, or a forum, about Cobra Starship and seeing people who would rather just say "FUCK COBRA, BRING BACK MIDTOWN!" as rehearsed as possible. Seriously, grow the fuck up.

At the philly show, Gabe ranted before Kiss My Sass that everyone always wants midtown back, but "that was [him] 10 years ago." He said he just wants to have fun now, and that fun is Cobra.

i remember the last headlining tour's shows being at least a few songs longer. they played everything off the new album except angie, and i remember "pop punk" and "being from jersey" were in the encore, as well.
too bad, since they're the only band i'm going for (and yes, i'm gonna be one of the old ladies in the crowd, too). at least tickets were dirt cheap and the venue in my city is one of the better ones for a show like this.

Cobra's merch sucks. Sing It Loud and FTSK's is decent. HTL has some pretty sweet shirts.

i went sunday. i found out ftsk wasn't gonna play so i was bummed. but otherwise, it was sweet. sing it loud was amazing, nate did a stage dive and everyone thought he fell but he was okay, pat signed my shoe too haha. hit the lights was good, basically everyone was moshing, i almost passed out, and their energy wasn't as good as SIL or cobra. they started to play walk by pantera, so i got super excited then they didn't hah. cobra was AMAZING. gabe really knows how to get a crowd pumped. almost everyone was dancing, it was so much fun. at one point there were like, 10 crowd surfers at one time and i got kicked in the face, how fun!

LUCKY! i'm in dunwoody, so the Gwinett Arena is too far away. if only i had practiced driving this summer, then i would have my license and i wouldn't have to rely on my parents to get me to shows...

anyways, i got my M&G email. it says i have to be there "no later than an hour before the show". seeing as i get out of school at 3:40 and then i have to take the train downtown (about 45 minutes on the train and i still have to drive to the station), i might be 10-15 minutes late. has that happened to anyone, and if so have they had any issues getting into the M&G?

So The Summer Set filled in last minute tonight... I'd heard of them but never heard their music. Amazing stuff, and the world's hottest drummer, lol. Met the lead singer of FTSK when i got there at 3:30, got a pic, and asked if he was gonna give a speech tonight, replying "We'll be on when McCain wins!" I laughed...

But yeah, Sing It Loud went on second tonight and totally rocked the house. I was right up in front and sang along with more energy/fun than any other show I've ever seen. I actually left after them to go meet them and the summer set. I stuck around for two songs by HTL, then called it a night, lol.

i went to the show at the HOB in LA and it was so much fun. I love this tour because I really like all the bands on the tour. Well, I'm not the biggest Cobra fan but i do admit they put on a killer set, Gabe is a lot of fun to watch.

yeah, if you get there too late, you can't get a wristband to get back in to the M&G/early entry. I know because I did. but I got lucky and found Gabe's security, Mattbro, who was nice and awesome and let me stick with him until they were letting people in and then I got to cut.

alex was soo nice. he mistook me for a mexican and started speaking spanish to me and it was hilarious, but after he realised he was wrong he apologised a thousand times and was basically just wonderful. as many times as i've seen cobra, i have yet to meet ryland. :\

and this was the first time in about a year and a half that i've been at one of their shows and NOT seen paul wall. ever since honda civic tour last year, paul wall comes to all of cobra's houston shows and does the rap in "bring it" but not tonight :[

This was the second show I went to on this tour and it was an improvment over the first one.

Sing It Loud was obviously first and the crowd, yet again ate it up. I wasn't really in to it.

Hit The Lights was support and they were pretty good overall, I felt the same this time as I did about them last time.

Forever The Sickest Kids wasn't in Cleveland and they are a gulity pleasure of mine. The set was enjoyable and I thought they sounded pretty good live for the part, I could have done without the Men In Black cover because that was one of the worst parts of the evening. There set seemed to be really short, it felt like HTL and SIL played longer. Which seemed to leave a lot of people pissed off.

Cobra Starship is a band I always enjoy seeing and have a good time. Last month in Cleveland was a massive train wreck - shortened set, massivly fucked up Gabe, his voice, etc. Last night wasn't nearly as bad. While his voice still isn't top notch (I'm wondering if it ever will again) he sounded a lot better and this show was a ton better. They played for a little bit longer and Ryland's solo rant before Pleasure Ryland durning the encore was pretty funny. As the per-usual Gabe talked and joked around a lot, the band was in it and the crowd ate it up. The brough out a DJ from Kiss FM for Travis's part of Kiss My Sass and Pat Brown, the singer from Sing It Loud came out for William's part in Bring It to which they incorporated Hollaback Boy. The lights were also, yet again pretty good and Vicky-T, as always, looked good. Lol. I am not positive but I think they played One Day, Robots Will Cry my Sidekick died before they went on so I couldn't take the setlist down but I know everything else is right.

I went to the orlando show. Sing it Loud and HTL killed it. FTSK played the same list for like the 3rd time ive seen them, its gotten old.

Cobra was the shit, gabe was funny, ryland was funny before he did his live mix for pleasure ryland, which was tight. The energy of the show rivaled early hellogoodbye shows, before forrest starting writing slow songs :(

i keep forgeting to post this, so i'll post it now:

i went to the 11/14 m&g, with Ryland, Vicky-t, and Alex (Nate lives in Atlanta, so according to Alex, he was at home showering). I spent about 6-8 minutes talking with Alex (everyone was crowding around Ryland), and we got to the topic of Gabe's surgery. Alex said that he is pretty sure that Gabe is getting surgery on January 21st. Vicky-T confirmed it was in January, but she wasn't sure of date.

too bad they've never played Angie live, here. that's the one song of theirs i'd love to hear live. the dude from Sing It Loud came out a few times (he did the chorus on Bring It, for one) and Gabe sounded alright... all the vocals in this venue generally sound pretty muddy, so maybe that worked in his favor tonight. overall, fun show.
