i'm not sure what to think of this album... i really like a few of the songs like "because of you", "get up", and "walrus".... but some of the songs seem really cheesy... especially the heavier sounding ones... i don't know why... but the guitar riffs sound so generic. listen to "Rejections Cold". that song is so horrible. if it was instrumental, it would sound just like a Creed song or something.
i can't believe this is the same band that came out with Oz Factor and the s/t album.

Yeah some of the songs are good but the others are horrible. Just an average release in my opinion.

These kinda suck. I love this band, too, but I'm kinda disappointed.

that doesn't make him a dumb fuck. i know that i always would rather be able to access songs on my computer rather than use the mtv site because its just another thing you have to worry about while being online. so i have an idea for you... calm down.

I totally agree about the heavier songs....they sound so redundant/ generic..whatever.
I think the more indie sounding songs...i.e. 'walrus' with the use of strings work really well, they are the best and most orignal songs, remind of Oasis, Smiths musically, good stuff.
I think the metally songs are gonna put me off buying it though..my gf will prolly get it , so I'll listen to it then.
I think save me is a good song, should do okay as a single, Linda Perry is a talented songwriter.
we'll see

I feel real bad for these guys...I think they realize that they are coming to the end of their career and so they're going to try and milk the pop punk thing so they get a couple bucks before they go.
It sucks because these guys really got me into music with their self-titled release and if they only thought about progressing instead of 'not changing a good thing', in the end it would be so much better for them.

I really like this album, they've change... but not in a bad way.
In addition, it's been said that the North Shore's theme song called "Home in Paradise" would be on this album, anyone know what the deal is with what?

ok so if you go to www.unwrittenlaw.net you can download the demo version of home in paradise, the version used in the show is the chorus to this version with new lyrics sung over it and they recorded that little guitar bit at the begining. there is only 30 seconds of show version of home in paradise ever recorded which is a total bummer because its a hella good song but i guess the band thought it didnt really fit the new album and they werent happy about having to change the lyrics

are you sure you listened to the right cd? most of the songs on here's to the mourning are barely pop-punk, and sound nothing like what's trendy these days. save me is an exception, it's catchy.
they have changed, this album sounds nothing like self-titled.
that being said, i'm still not sure how i feel about it yet.

You know, alot of people are saying this isn't the old UL but in a way I think they are totally wrong. Their style hasn't changed since the S/T. I think this is on par with the way they have chosen to go. As far as liking it, I only skip over one track and that is because I just can't get into it. Otherwise, it is a solid rock album with a lot of energy.
