I came back from the MCS show in my hometown last night and I had only one thing running through my mind: Is MCS still unknown after all the touring and success with their third album?
Apparently in my hometown they kinda sorta are unknown, because the fan base was all over the place. There were fans like me that shouted and sung to every note and knew how the music was going to flow, pumping fists accordingly. Then there was people standing there not at all affected by the music, having no idea who the fuck this band was. It was funny because half the theater errupted when "Everything is Alright" blasted out. The two obvious songs to jump to, "Capital H" and "The Future Freaks Me Out" turned out to be pretty funny to watch in the theater. Half the people were going fucking nuts, which was very appropriate, but the back half and a pretty good portion of the front half of the theater had expressions on their faces like "Ok, why the fuck is anyone caring about these guys?"
My question is this, do you think MCS will ever finally break out and become big or are they destined to be that band that your friends have never heard of? I sure hope not.
