Instead of going acoustic I wish they would take out the screaming in some of there songs. I dont mind some screaming but in most of there songs it just doesnt fit and it seems like they would sound better with the just singing parts.

Am I the only one who's thinking that they could've gone in an entirely different direction with their LP and made it sounds about a million times better than it actually did? I don't know, maybe I was just having a bad day, but I was really disappointed with that album.

I agree, I thought the production was horrible. Especially in the vocal department with the ever annoying screaming that we all complain about.

I have never commented on this before, so here it goes

HH are not as bad as everyone seems to think they are.
I personally think there are MUCH better options in the genre, but people really get carried away with bashing them., and it's really redundant.
Anyone who said they could lose the screaming is right, they could and should,but likely wont.

The funny thing is, so many people hate them now that liking them or hating them stirs up controversy... "Stop bashing them for christs sake" is the new battlecry...either way they deserve it. I saw them live once, and everything about them seemed horribly fake and played out. I'd rather they suck and be themselves than suck and put stickers on their album that say "for fans of Thursday and Taking Back Sunday"

Ive seen them 3 times, openers, 2nd headliner and headliner. The last time was really good, all the bands were out on stage with them goofing off since it was last day of the tour, spitalfield, number one fan and everyone was dressed up in odd costumes

Love em or hate them they write some really catchy stuff, theres no denying that. And I hardly doubt that they are trying to "squeeze easy money out of it" They play that style of music because thats what they listen to and like.

Believe it or not, but most bands in this genre do all they can to support themselves. They're definitely not in it for the money; they had no idea their album would sell as many copies as it has.

Just how is having three guitars in a band worth it if the only thing two of three guitarists are doing is alternating between two notes on one string, and the third is strumming a three-chord progression. Don't get me wrong, less is more in a lot of ways, and if it sounds right, then that's what you go with. But remember how Jimmy Page would multi-track his guitar like 90 times for a song..., even if it was just for a single note at the two minute and ten second mark? Well that's what HH should do if they want that certain E# at that certain pre-chorus..., not throw a guitar on a completely different person and tell him to play four or five notes per song..., it just seems like a waste of a guitarist..., and more importantly..., a guitar.

Honestly on here I think its cooler to hate on Hawthorne Heights but come on people are they better than Good Charlotte. I guess I just dont get it or maybe im not scene enough but I dont see how Hawthorne Heights are so bad. Are they original or amazing hell no but alteast give them props for being so fucking bad and still selling so many records. There arent many records in this genre that were released since Silence in Black and White that have out sold it. In my mind that is impressive out sell almost everyone but get bashed all the time I think they could care less about who wants to stab them for being a bad musician. because it is completely unnecessary. there are several bands with one guitarist that is more talented than all three of the hawthorne guitarists. and the singer plays guitar as good as avril lavigne.
