The first ten bands to be featured on "Absolutely Unsigned" have now been posted. Congratulations to the bands. Each one is deserving and I hope everyone takes a chance to check them out. Also, I will be interviewing two of the bands but you guys will be able to pick which two you would like to hear more about. If you would like to vote, head to the replies section and pick a band! ALSO: I only added ten bands this time, but in the future I may add up to fifteen. I just wanted to see how this goes first. I may even add an extra five in the next few days.

Everyone should check out Houston Automatic. They're a sick band. They're from my hometown and I have mutual friends with the guitarist Paul. They're a sick band and they're still developing. In a year or two they'll be unbelievable!

not to be the negative nancy here but doesnt listing 10 bands at once kinda defeat the purpose of getting kids to check them out? maybe its because i just drove 4 hours and im looking at the list at 5am but im not motivated in the least to check out any one band in particular (except anathallo because i live in the area and ive been seeing them live for a while now) simply because he listed 10 at once.

its like alt press doing the 100 bands thing...
sure i read all the names, but deciding which of the 100 to check out that you havnt heard of is tough.

im not saying im better than this list at all bc im not, im sure all the bands are crazy talented and maybe ill get around to checking them all out, but it seems like itd be better to each band if maybe you added one a day or something that way each band gets its one day of fame and its easier to keep up with the list since most kids come to this site religiously.

What I did is I just checked out the bands that have the most votes. Whoever other people like the most, I assume I would like more than the other bands, so I listen to them first. These bands are going to be up for a while, so I take my time, check out one a day maybe. Yep.

"Sigfried and Roy's Tigers of American Romantic Chemicals Used before the March of Flames" are a pretty respectable band. They speak English! For that reason and that reason only, I voted for them! Go Tigris and the Euphrates! It just blows my mind how they got 2 fifteen year old girls to make up 100 fake email addresses in a half hour time frame at 10 o'clock in the morning. That's dedication. I wish I could interview them to find out how to harness the essence of that kind of dedication and apply it to the many toils and snags that occur in my own life. I think its pretty shitty for a band to go and tell their fans to go vote for them. If it were my band on here, I would simplyl ASK our fans if they would like to just VOTE for ANY BAND they liked. I respect our fans so much and they have respect for us. I wouldn't say "Go vote for us". I'd say "If you could check out this poll, check out the bands, and vote for your favorite, that would be awesome!". This poll has lost its meaning now because I am 90% sure that the fans for the bands with the insane amount of votes, did not listen to the other bands in the poll.
