I'll admit I was never the biggest bright eyes fan... but I like them more after seeing them the other night. I was definitely impressed with their live show, and that's something that doesn't happen enough in this "scene". Personally I'm fed up with loving cds and then seeing the band live only to find out they blow ass live. Whether you like Bright Eyes or not at least you know what you hear on an album is what you get live. The same can't be said about a good chunk of bands these days.

i tried tuning in right at 8:30 (central) when it started, all excited to hear tilly again, and it wouldn't work for me. i'm so glad they're going to archive it.

cocorosie are actually really good. when i saw this tour though, i have to admit i didn't like their live show at all. their voices gave me a headache. i'm glad i listened to their album before seeing them otherwise i probably would have just talked shit too.

the french rapping/beatboxing guy is only a part of their live show though. he isn't on the album at all. he seemed to be the only thing anyone somewhat liked about their set, though. and i completely missed all of the sex on that video. i don't know how, but i did and i'm upset because i've been hearing so much about it.

kind of sad how much shit people are talking about cocorosie (everywhere, not just here); they really are unique and talented. la maison de mon reve is a solid album and their voices are tolerable on it.

the tour is for just the new "wide awake" album though ... it's supposed to basically just be for that disc.
