True, but I was just trying to prove what an overused and stupid argument it is to say "CDs are expensive, I'd rather pay for merch or tickets to support them better." They try to come across as supportive of their artists when you know damn well if it was as easy to steal tickets or hoodies as it was to steal music, they wouldn't think twice about supporting shit.

I understand and respect where you're coming from because some show/merch situations are similar, but since I tour on and off, I know how the grind is. If I go and see a band that I do know, I treat them to a meal after the show if they don't have to leave right away, and if that's not possible, I hand them the money -- "this is for you." I DL albums, but I buy them as well. Sucks that LC is down, but I'm sure they'll pop back up somewhere else.
