Went with North. Maybe I should give TGP some more time.

I picked TGP, because I didn't listen to North nearly this many times when I first got my copy.

I picked The Glass Passenger but listened to North later on and am regretting my decision now. I really can't decide which one is better just yet though

both are amazing. however, north didn't have a bad song on it. tgp has 3 songs i can't get into.

suicide blonde, that chorus i can't stand. and then surprisingly i just don't see anything great in the resolution or bloodshot.

I understand Suicide Blonde, and Bloodshot is a little too reggae for me, but The Resolution? Surprising, yes. Ha.

as the single, i tihnk resolution was supposed to be just the normal kind of pop-rock song on the album. and its a good one at that, just not what i'm into.

If you don't go listen to it now, I'm going to have to hunt you down and force you to listen to the Jonas Brothers instead. Your choice.

The first time I listened to North, it left me feeling really upset, and then I couldn't play it again for close to two months after purchasing it, because it just made me feel really talentless and useless at life. :-d

i'm really not sure on that chorus. its effective as hell as a chorus, and quite memorable. but i can't tell if i like it even a little bit yet. i might eventually love it. for now? not so much. the key change or whatever is going on when it hits feels so awkward to me, but i might eventually dig it. who knows.
but north is pretty untouchable for me. its just so good. but i don't even look at this one as comparable really. North has a feel or something to it thats just different. TGP might even be running a little long for my liking. i'm starting to feel like the ep's could've just had songs that didn't make the record and i'dve been okay with that and shorten it up a little bit.
agreed.

yeah, its really just that chorus that i hate. like when he sings "she's a suicide blonde" i almost cringe a little bit.

I went with North... the overall feel/vibe of that record is part of what makes it so special for me, and although it's only been out a week I don't get that with TGP.
North. "She Paints Me Blue" just cannot be beat.

EIT > Leaving Through > TGP > North... I suppose
No matter which album by Andrew you choose, each and every one is incredible.
The man has undeniable talent, it's that easy.
I love it.

Of Andrew's four main albums, two of them are cohesive and share a certain feel across all of their songs (North, EiT). The other two (LttW, TGP) have more standout songs but run a little long, and feel less like an album and more like a collection of songs (there is a difference). All four are some of my favorite albums of all time. I think EiT is the best because it is cohesive AND each song has its own sound. But after that I have such a hard time ranking them.
