I hate when bands post on their site that they need a new member. I don't know, I just have a problem with it. Like don't they have the resources to find a good guitarist on their own? I'm a fan, but remember when Limp Bizkit had that contest to find a new guitarist...like whoa.

that was bullshit

seriously, what the hell is wrong with looking for new members? you have any idea how hard it is to find a good guitarist, let alone finding one in your home town?

is the guitarist who left the one that sings the intro for its dylan you know the drill?

trust me, it is very hard to find people for a band..especially good ones. best of luck to them, i'm sure they'll find a great person.

Alright, seriously, this is the dumbest thing that I have ever read on here.

And then you get called out. You respond to that with "Networking"?

I would delve deeper into this little topic, but in all honesty, I'm frightened at what your next comment might be. So in the name of sparing myself a few years of heart problems brought on by anxiety, stress, and frustration, I'm going to let this die with this one little comment:

Dumb as rocks. You.

i personally think this band would be much better off if they found their second guitarist, then fired the singer, leaving the current guitarist to do the vocals

Cerpin Taxt
02/01/05, 03:08 PM
Yep their singer is definetly the worst part of what is otherwise an ok group. I like how they are looking for someone who is "really into Stevie Ray Vaughn...

It's really hard to find someone to join your band. Yes, there are amazing guitarists out there... but you have to consider the following:

- Are they a tool?
- Are they fat and lazy? yes this matters to some bands
- In Boy's Night Out's case.. they need someone that can do harmonies.. thats tough
- Do they fit our band?
- Are they dependable and ready to sacrifice a lot for the sake of rock n roll? hah

many more things to add to that. if someone is an awesome guitarist and a shitty person... it will just clash. im sure they've tried networking.. who would be better to join your band than someone that is already a friend?.. i'm sure they've tried that

Ok, this is my deal. For the last couple years I have been mesmorized by Brian Southhall of Fordirelifesake while watching him play guitar. Him and Erik were amazing together. He left and joined BNO to play drums. They should find a new drummer and move him to guitar. I am telling you he is awesome

What's wrong with Connor (the singer)... I think he's great and I love his voice and his harmonies, not to mention the effort he puts out onstage everyshow.

The new drummer they picked up has played every song I have seen live slower and with less energy then their old drummer, and the drum parts he plays just aren't as cool as the old drum parts. He probably would make a better guitar player then drummer for the band.

you're absolutely right. once rob left, i haven't even come close to understanding why brian wouldn't fill his spot. such huge talent gone to waste.

lmao boys night out looking for "strong singing voice"

at least they are trying to improve i guess. they also left out "must be a drunk frat dude who can pretend to be emo on stage but will attempt to intoxicate and fuck anything that moves when off stage"

hahaha....funny side story....I'm from Orange County (yes....now some of you hate me) and my girlfriend goes to school now out near Chicago at Northwestern University....so I went out there to visit her and she asked me, "Do you have the Boys Night Out cd?" and I said yes and then I wondered why she wanted to know since she doesn't like "screaming music", and then she said this guy on her floor wanted to burn a copy, so I said sure and I brought it. So when I visited and met this guy he was really cool and he is from Michigan and he says he and all his friends are huge Fordirelifesake fans and he said Brian Southhall was amazing on guitar and then left to play drums for Boys Night Out, so all his friends kind of automatically hate BNO, so he had to get the cd in secrecy. I wasn't too familiar with Fordirelifesake at the time, but after listening to their old stuff I found out that he was indeed a good guitarist.

....yeah....so nobody read that, huh?

'Make Yourself Sick:' 8.0/10
...and what new songs I heard them play on the Emery/GCH tour kicked ass so there's no doubt that whoever they find I will still love them no matter what.

PS; Conner can be a better singer. Granted. But he's one of the nicest guys I've ever shaken hands with..., gotta give him that. (All the while Dave is a great guitarist in Senses Fail, and he's an absolute chode.)

but i do enjoy boys night out.

that would have been great if he stayed in fordirelifesake. but some big personal crap went down and he felt all of them stabbed him in the back when in reality it was the only the drummer
