Deserves an official thread, Debut is a great album. I have Post on the way.
I never got into her, I love Natasha Khan and people always compare the two, but I just dont here it.
Natasha kills Iceland.

This thread got one reply? Ouch.
I'm listening to Homogenic right now. The string arrangements are gorgeous.

I was spinning Vespertine today. I love that album so much.

Maybe the reason this thread has no posts is because nobody knows how to search for it due to the stylization.
Then again, the other Bjork threads have less than 10 posts too.

Yeah, wow…why so few posts? Björk makes some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. My personal favorite of hers is Vespertine.

I'm trying to decide which album to listen to next. I'm only familiar with Homogenic.

I definitely recommend Vespertine; "Pagan Poetry" is literally in my head all the time. The only albums I never really got into are her two latest ones: Volta and Medúlla. Medúlla was just way too experimental for me, and that means a lot coming from me, lol. And I just didn't dig Volta; dunno why, maybe I'll give it another listen sometime.

I don't know exactly what it means "coming from you", but I was thinking of going Medulla, Post, or Vespertine.

Well, all I meant by that was that I love experimental music and am usually up for anything, but Medúlla felt more like a struggle to listen to than an enjoyable listen. Post is excellent; it features a lot of Björk's other best songs like "Army of Me" and "It's Oh So Quiet", and my favorite, "Hyper-Ballad".

Post it is. I've loved Army of Me for a long time.

May even prefer it to Homogenic at this point, as I find Homogenic to be a bit repetitive after the first four tracks. Homogenic is at least self-aware in that respect though.

Searching for this thread blows.
The alternate version of All is Full of Love is so vastly superior to the version that ended up on album that I have made an editorial decision to swap them.

Damn, I didn't even know that the ver. of "All Is Full of Love" that appears on Homogenic isn't the main one. Now I'm gonna have to go find this alternate version…

My favorite by her is Homogenic, but Debut and Post are at a permanent tie for second place. I never really liked Medulla or Volta.

Vespertine is beautiful.
I'm seriously considering making another thread so that people can actually search for the bloody thing, but the inaccuracy would drive me crazy too.

IMO the best female singer of all time!

Homogenic is immediately one of my favorite albums. every single song was fucking incredible, not to mention she has one of the most powerfully compelling voices in music. a rhythm section reminiscient of Aphex Twin was already enough to pique my interest, but the melodic and atmospheric components of the music just blew me away. so many haunting and beautiful moments. i draw easy ties to radiohead (which obviously makes sense since she's a major influence on thom himself) and that is definitely a good sign considering how much i love that band.
this album was recommended to me 10 months ago and i could basically kill myself for waiting so long.

Sorry, Ry guy, I don't hear Aphex Twin at all when I listen to Björk.

maybe it's because electronica is still generally new to me. i'll probably be able to draw more specific and accurate comparisons when i have more artists to compare. in fact, i find myself interested in fuck buttons's Tarot Sport in part due to your recommendation.

Tarot Sport is definitely one of if not my favorite album from last year. I highly, highly recommend it.
