Song from Pressure the Hinges
New Song

Creating Something Out of Nothing, Only To Destroy It Outro (Knife/Gun Fight)
Robots 3, Humans 0
Blueprints for Future Homes
Birth of the Anti-Mother

And There Will Be A Swarm Of Hornets*
Encore:
...Discipline Your Daughters (I'm pretty sure)
Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste
*Cory played guitar and did vocals
There may have been one more from the Anti-Mother, but that's definitely all they played from the other albums.
They have some awesome shirts, and a limited edition vinyl boxset of Martyr-O God-Redeemer for $40.
I was suprised by lack of "Grand Scene..." and "Songs Sound..." and I was hoping for "End of All Things.." since it was a Southern show. Great stage presence and light show, anyways.

Haha, yeah... Haste the Day was so disappointing. I wanted American Love so badly, but Blue 42 was awesome all the same.
And the new Norma Jean songs are pretty awesome live, they're a band that's better live. The Creating Something Outro was intense, the place went insane.

haha i would've killed to have seen haste the day about 2 years ago... now, they're just like everyone else if you ask me.
and i've never seen norma jean, either... i can imagine that outro being pretty awesome. i've definitely gotta look into seeing them one day.

exactly. i saw HtD right after pressure came out and they only played two songs, but when i saw them in 06 and they played the majority of WEF it was just a ton of fun. i was so sad that i wasnt into them, but the last three songs was worth it.
it was my 4th time, all post-redeemer. id see them if its cheap or you like the bands they're touring with (last night was $15, seen them direct support underoath for $18), but if you want more old stuff (like the rest of us) it's hit or miss.
memphis is always the closer, though. i love being able to count on that.

nice! when everything falls is one of my favorite albums. i could only imagine how awesome it would be live.
i was SO close to going to Purple Door Festival the one year, but the friend i was going with backed out at the last minute... i'm pretty sure that was one of the first times Aaron from MeWithouYou started coming out to finish Memphis, too... regrets, regrets, regrets.

I saw this show last night in Nashville, TN. I wasn't even suppose to go to this but I ended up having to visit in Nashville this weekend and I saw that this show was playing so I went.
My Children My Bride were pretty good, I've seen them a bunch of times but they always put on a good show. Not a whole lot of people seemed to know them though, and their sound started off kind of wierd but eventualy they sounded better. They were definitely fun to watch, here are the songs they played:
Boris The Blade
Wings of Integrity
The Machinist
Faithless
Versus
Headshot
Norma Jean was really good too, I only recently started to like them, I think I am one of the only ones who actually really like the new album and I was looking forward to seeing a lot of songs off that. But they seemed to mix up the set pretty well with new and old, I was really glad to see the "knife to a gunfight" song, I was not expecting that. I almost thought they weren't going to play Memphis... but they played 2 songs for the encore. The set is pretty much identical to the one posted earlier but for the encore it was The Death Of The Anti Mother and then Memphis.... I didn't like Showdown at all and Haste the Day was dissapointing, I never liked them but until their last 3 songs I thought they were terrible but their old stuff sounded really good.
I really hope you're missing a couple songs from Norma Jean, and I really hope one of Haste the Days "song from Pressure the Hinges" is Stitches. I really want to hear "Songs sound so much sadder" and "Murphy was an optimist" from Norma Jean, and no Grand Scene, WTF? I'm going to this tomorrow :].

Norma Jean really went downhill with Redeemer. The Anti-Mother was a better effort (I especially enjoyed Birth of The Anti-Mother and Self-Employed Chemist), but still does not match up to their older sound. Yes, they're maturing you could say, but honestly, I blame it on Ross Robinson for trying to give them a more mainstream sound.
Only one song off of O God The Aftermath? Shucks. That is doing such a disservice to one of my favorite albums. I probably won't be going to this (the openers are shit too, exception MCMB).

Children 18:3 are so good live. They have so much energy. That's a good set-list from them.
I went last night and got maced. Some idiot in the crowd maced me, anyways.
Haste the Day played American Love instead of Blue 42, just as you said. Norma Jeans set was the same as yours, but, they only encored Memphis because of the mace floating around.
what?!? who gets MACED at a show?! so so ridiculous. metro-chicago security are pretty fierce so hopefully that's not a trend that spreads to the show this thursday

I'm missing this show due to living in state college with no ride home. I think it would be great to see Norma Jean and Haste the Day together despite really only listening to their respective first efforts.
The new stuff is all right from both bands but Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Cild; and Burning Bridges are classics.
