i have to say i really don't like my friend's girlfriend. she went out with him last year for a week and broke up only to get back at a guy. now she is going back out with him because she's "free". how should i tell my friend that this girl is no good?

Tell him straight up. Tell him that as a friend, you don't think it's a wise choice to be going back out with her. But don't feel bad for him, it won't get the point across.

you need to talk to him sooner than later. nip this in the bud asap, b/c if it goes on too long at all you're both stuck. and i know girls like that... don't let this happen. if i'd had a friend to tell me to stop before i started, he could have saved me 4 months.

from my experience friends never listen about this type of thing. instead they just cling to the whore even more and after an awful five year relationship it ends really ugly and comes and tells you that you were right the whole time. not that this happened to me and one of my friends.

hahaha it totally did. my gosh it was insane. literally took five years for my friends to realize this girl was like being with death. it blew my mind. but i am real thankful he is finally free of her and her craziness.

haha. friends really never listen to those sort of things. I would know... I've been one of the naive, dumb friends, as well as being on the other end of the stick, as well. there's not much you can do. a lot of times people have to find things out for themselves. :shrug:

but did it take you 5 years to learn for yourself? i mean i figured after 2 he would snap out of it. but he just kept going, it totally broke my heart cause he was/is one of my best friends. she controlled his life and used him for like everything. it was sickening.

no, definitely not. that is such a long time to be in a shitty relationship =/ that's horrible. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had to watch friends in crappy relationships for THAT long. I've done it for much shorter and that was bad enough as is, you know?

for sure. it was rough, but i mean he felt way worse than i did when he finally opened his eyes. its just mine are less important in that situation and i just need to be his good friend still. i am just glad it is over.

yeah, you feel really crappy once you realize how dumb you've been in a relationship like that. but yeah, I definitely agree with just being glad it's over.

well, you pretty much have no other choice but to tell me straight up. try to be as nice as possible, but give him the reality of the situation and just help him through it, i guess.

id agree with that. i have a friend whos been with this girl for probably 6 years now. theyve broken up numerous times, much to the relief of his friends only to get bakc together with him. shes done dodgy shit like trying to hang herself and shes set it up so my mate would be the one who found her, just like he did when his dad hung himself and then when they were having a fight one time she tried to set him on fire! shes crazy. but it doesnt matter how many times you tell him, he doesnt listen.

i think that with this sort of thing, they have to realise it on their own. as much as it might suck being their friend and seeing how bad she is for him, theres not too much you can do really.
