Have you ever known someone (online, exclusively) and then lost touch with them, for several years at a time? I was just thinking of this not long ago and was wondering if anyone shared my problem here. Occasionally I think of people that were kind of special to me (in kind of a nerdy way).

Anyone else?

No. Online-only relationships are lame. I had some random girl start messaging me over Myspace one time, we became 'pen pals' for lack of a better term. She moved from place to place and wanted me to send actual letters to her. I couldn't be bothered sending long emails to someone who has no real knowledge of my life, there's no point.

Go make some real life friends.

i have lost touch with people that i "met" online. but since it was online only friendships i did not really miss them. you dont really know people when they are online.

i never had internet relationships, but i had internet friends whom i talked to and was pen pals with.

esp. when i got into the whole riot grrrl thing. i had four good friends and we all talked to each other, one girl even lived really close to me. we went to rival schools! haha.

internet dating though....? hahaha. i don't know 'bout all of that...

i know what you mean. i met kids on xbl who i played like for whole winters with. then summer comes and i don't play xbl anymore. i talk to them occasionally.

but internet dating?
wtf no way...you can't truly get to know a person through a computer. you can type anything...make yourself someone your not...its not worth the risk.

I have internet friends who've I lost touch with. Yeah. And of course, I'd be happy if they came online and I could talk to them, but, I wouldn't say that I "miss" them.

ha! my family's on the KY/TN border and only my dad was the only one born there out of his siblings. i've lived in MI my entire life and when i get talking real fast or get angry and start yelling there's a hint of the hillbilly accent that comes out. it's starting to come through more often though and i can't stop it!

it's kinda a light accent, if that makes sense. its more prominent in certain words and phrases. idk why, it just is.
