According to this (http://2005.mis-one.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=58758%20#58758), Joe, Matt and Johnny of the defunct Beloved (http://www.purevolume.com/beloved) are creating a new project named: Prisoner. You can read what Joe had to say by clicking the link I've provided or checking the replies.

"If you are reading this right now you might ask yourself the question: Why are the members of beloved forming a new band?Well i will tell you why. Myself(Joe), Matt and Johnny feel the need to express our love for heavy music in the most brutal, in your face kind of way. We would like to introduce to you, all the way from Kernersville, NC, PRISONER. We will hopefully have a site and a few songs within a few months from now. SO GET READY FOR THE PAIN TO BEGIN!!!! SCREW THE MOSH, WE BRING DEATH!!!!!!"

I thought Beloved broke up so Joe could spend more time at home with his wife, and the band didn't want to replace him? Now he just gets a new band together? Or is this going to be a project with limited/no touring ability?

it's not real guys, the reason beloved broke up was because joe is getting married and is wanting to start a family, that prisoner thing is a big joke. sorry

just because joe wanted to focus on his life being married and all that does't mean that he wants to quit music completely. i'd say its possible

i've heard a lot of talk about some ex-members of beloved getting together with kevin faulk (ex bassist of between the buried and me) to form a new band. i don't know if it's necessarily THIS band but that's just what i've heard recently.

prisoner is for real. joe, johnny, and matt love heavy music a la' turmoil and for the love of. we all loved that stuff. we all felt thats the way really heavy music should sound. this definitely can be heard in the new tunes i've heard from them. josh and i were always more into the rock side of the band, where as the other three loved the heavier side. as far as prisoner's touring capability and everything, i'm not really sure myself. joe's priority is definitely his family still. if any of you know joe, you know the kid loves hardcore, so for him to stop playing drums would be like telling rob dobi to stop doing crystal meth.
there were some talks about a new thing coming up with matt, kevin falk and i, but nothing ever really happened. matt is excited about prisoner, and i'm currently in another band that most of you know of and will be announced pretty soon, and will be re-locating soon. so our lives are just kinda changing (not to get all generic/hallmark on you all). josh is very excited about playing with classic case. they're a great band and great dudes.
thanks to everyone who came to the final show. it was a fantastic night, and a super positive experience. we're working on a dvd right now that will hopefully have footage from the past few years, as well as a couple of entire live sets from some of our favorite shows. more news on the dvd will come once we figure out who will release it and whatnot.
dobi seriously does lots and lots of crystal meth. look at some of that fullbleed stuff and you'll see.
