I don't find that any more offensive than the other suings. They made a mistake. They dropped the charges, thus making up for said mistake. I don't see what is so terrible about that.

well maybe that old bitch shouldn't have been stealing all of those metallica songs...
Greg Thimmes
02/05/05, 07:34 PM
I don't get how her daughter has been living with her for the past 17 years I think it said? Maybe thats why there are so many songs, she can't get out of the house.

I think some of you misunderstand, she was accused of putting them up...
As far as I know it's VERY hard for them to arrest you for downloading...

No they're not, along with Doghouse, Fueled By Ramen, Trustkill, etc great music is released by great labels who are not members of the RIAA.

Anyone else catch a little sense of irony? This post is right above the review post for Armor for Sleep's album "What to do when youre dead". Apparently, you get sued by the RIAA.

Haha this is almost as stupid as when the voters of Missouri elected Governor Mel Carnahan to the US Senate....three weeks after he died in a plane crash.

Wow.... that shit is whack.
"I am consumed with anger!"
Haha...
Seriously though, the daughter shouldn't have informed the RIAA of their mistake... it would have been much funnier if it was brought to court and the judge was like... "she's dead"... the RIAA would crap their pants.

i mean, it's not THEFT or anything...
i'm not going to front and get on my high horse here, but i mean, i download but i call a spade a spade and i still know it's wrong.
however, i do try to buy a lot of music, and it's the assholes who don't buy any music anymore who are hurting the industry.

Notice they didn't seem to offer any sort of official appology to the dead womans family for any distress that they caused.

Obviously this is all great news for us now... If by chance you are sued by the RIAA, all we have to do is die.. Then you're off the hook! Oh sweet sweet loopholes :wink3:
